Fans or a single fan? I have only heard one fan make that claim and I hear so much about his claim that it makes me wonder if there is wide spread PTSD as a result of lost battles with Mayfield. Hearing this makes one wonder if Mayfield can just go BOOO and the Tigers will scatter.

LCA has a legit shot at running clocks for anyone other than Beechwood. That is atleast how it looks from way far West to me.

Not sure this was a huge suprise, GC Dragons kinda putting a Green slant to it blaming penalities, being flat and lucky bounces.

I'd like to think so, makes taking a rare loss easier 😂 We have been blessed forsure and the future younger classes look to be loaded. Winning alot makes taking losses harder when it does happen and fun for folks as they watch us struggle with trying to rapp our minds around it. If I was granted 3 wishes, the first 2 would ensure that I would never want for anything again but that 3rd wish might have to be for the Cards to never lose again 😂

I have been down, that covid got in my chest and I am still struggling. That is why I haven't posted much. I just cant get rid of it but I am improving and have times where its not too bad anymore then out of nowhere it gets me down again.

Murray did beat Mayfield but it was more of a anomaly than anything else in my opinion. Mayfield played poorly and Murray made some great plays. Despite all that Mayfield had the game likely won but fumbled trying to run out the clock. Before the game I had said running clock or close as Murray uses so much clock that its hard to actually get a running clock. I have watched Mayfield weekly and Murray a couple times and yes they are getting better but its still unlikely in a rematch they beat Mayfield. As for Mayfield dropping in the polls, I don't see anyone below them that would warrant moving them up given the full body of work. As I have said though, there is a big gap between Lexington and Beechwood and everyone else but Mayfield would be the closest. I see the Beecwood folks licking their chops in hopes of finally getting to end frustrations that go all the way back to 95 and all Mayfield fans get that.

There is a good chance that we could see a rematch that will again be at Mayfield. If I am Murray, they likely would rather it be at Mayfield given 2 straight wins at Mayfield. In a rematch Mayfield will be a heavy favorite but Murray did prove it possible. I don't see a need for Mayfield to change anything in a rematch except eliminate the untimely mistakes that are uncharacteristic for Mayfield.

Yes and it goes to RPI which gives Mayfield the #1 by a large enough margin they will finish #1. Murray and Caldwell are close with Murray barely ahead at #2 going into the last week

Well i just heard the sirens go off here in Mayfield. The sky is falling 😂 Well it does kinda feel that way as I have waited almost a year to get revenge on Murray. To the game, 1:30ish to go in the game and Mayfield is running the clock out down around the Murray 35 when mayfield fumbbles and the ball is returned to the Mayfield 5. That was the first time I had got concerned the entire night. Mayfield had a ton of chances to put the game on ice and guess what? they didn't!!!!!!! A rematch does not worry much but neither did this game going in, I expected a running clock tonight. I expect a trip to Ft Mitchell for the Cards but I am not going, too far and I don't want to be a witness to Beechwood finally beating Mayfield.

Tough way to lose, congrats Murray! Get out the basketballs LoL!

The stats guy I referenced said he had it figured with BW ahead of Mayfield by .004 so you guys seem close. I hope you all are wrong, I don't care for that drive at all.

I assume your posts was aimed at me and I stated it was a guess. Yes opponets and their wins is a factor that I thought about but it did not appear to me that it weighs enough to offset the class adjustment. That said, I spoke to a stats. guy this morning and he thinks Beechwood will have enough from the opponet wins category to offset the advantage Mayfield will have from the class adjustment. So like everyone has said, nobody will know until the dust settles but I thought the stats. guy drawing that conclusion was interesting.

Mayfield, 7 kick.

I think Mayfield overtakes Beechwood the last game of the season because Beechwood plays 1A NCC and Mayfield plays 4A Madisonville. The deciding factor being that more weight is placed on beating a larger class school in the RPI. So Beechwood is hurting itself playing longtime rival NCC and it will likely lead to them having to make that crazy long trip to Mayfield. I am making a educated guess so if anyone actually knows please weigh in.

I think he was down short of the first down and replay was of little help either way. Not sure why no camera angles from other sides. Reguardless the fan reaction was not a good look. They are lucky the game didn't get called right there. Did I mention I am a huge Ole Miss fan, HYDR, Hotty Toddy!

I watched the Caldwell County vs Murray game on PrepSpin. Murray just isnt very good. They will slow the game down and the only question I see is will it be slow enough to stop the running clock.

This problem is not unique to Beechwood, Mayfield has the same problem. Playing neighbor Marshall County for example would be a huge RPI boost for Mayfield but Marshall County would not hear of it and nobody wants to see it either. In the much more rural area of the state Mayfield has to be mineful or travel. A obvious soultion is play some out of state teams but that too is a problem under the current system because its a diaster to your RPI win or lose. I hope the powers that be fix these and other issues with the RPI system. It will improve the quality of competition on who you are willing to schedule. Other wise its going to get to the point that everyone is trying to play as many Marshall Counties as possible.

Beating higher class is my understanding counts more than RPI rating.

That is what I think too but I am no expert.
