Lone Oak tops all in my opinion

I stand by my observation and I think most other Cards fans would agree. Crittenden played Mayfield closer and tougher than any other 1A team. You seem very sure of Hazard and that is suprising considering they have never won anything. I would think safer money is on 8 time champ Mayfield or 11 time champ Beechwood but of course the 1A east will have be weak so maybe they will make it back but I doubt they can win it next year

We are in totally different dimensions on most of this. I agree they had the best offense. Their schedule was weaker and every one of the ratings systems will agree with me on that. I cant imagine your top 10 in 1A not having Crittenden County in it though they were not the same team at the end of the year after Starns had to suspend a couple players and their best 2 way player went down to injury at Murray

Crittenden County was the toughest opponet Mayfield faced in 2010, I will give them that, followed by Beechwood and LHC. LHC and Hazard are so contraqsting in style I am unsure what to think of that matchup. I was unimpressed with the line play of Hazard, they were huge but that is about it.

I agree, Snale, 6-1 is not perfect against these NKY teams but it close. I enjoy playing NKY teams, hey did everone know that the states best football is played in NKY? I didn't! :sssh:

If Mayfield played Hazard 10 times this year they would likely win all 10

What I am saying here is that you guys have a passionate fanbase on here, so much so that it gets on my nerves sometimes but looking back on it I wish I had not goe there.

Who knows, from some of the fans on here one might be inclined to think that Raceland is gonna run the next 12 in a row off and beat us both to it

Well QS if you feel that I exposed you or have offended you in any way I am sorry, that has not been my intention now or previously. In fact, QS has been quite a nice guy offering what I originally thought was banter but turns out he meant it and I should have realized he was not kidding. While I am on a tear, I really like Sportsguy who I met at the Bw game. Cant say a bad word about Crunch or VOR either. We should have many good sparring sessions between now and next November

LCA was in poor taste for most Mayfieldians. They could have done what we did this year. Out freshman had a first and goal after driving down field with 4 minutes to go and we lined up in the victory formation and took 4 knees. Hazard got the ball back and their first team drove the length of the field and scored with under a minute to play on our freshmen for the final of 47-6. The week before at Beechwood we are up 38-14 and have the ball indside the Beechwood 10 late in the game and we take 4 knees. I guess showing your opponet respect is viewed differently by some but that is how we handled it and I did not appreciate LCA piling on. Both times we could have scored meaningless TD's but we decided to show respect to our opponets.

I was guilty of this and was wrong. Congrats to Highlands! Wow, that was impressive! It was a pleasure to get to meet Henry and Leatherneck

The drive for me coming out of Mayfield is a little bit closer but not enough for me to care but the stadium size in WKU makes the atmosphere alot better. Papa is just too big. Watching games there made me feel like I was there alone. Western's stadium size is perfect. I do miss everyone from Mayfield going up the night before and all staying at the same hotel. We have had some tremendous socializing the night before games. A Western most go up the day of and even if you stay there is no single place everyone from Mayfield can stay. I still prefer Western though

Trust me, I have watched both play. VR you and I both know Mayfield decided to start the hammering in the 4th, had they realized that it would have been that easy they would have done it earlier I suspect. I do agree it would be a heck of a game but Mayfield would likely win it.

Walter opened a can of worms and now poor ole walter does not like it when others disagree. Hey Walter, its fine to have your opinion and I can respect that but if you don't like what others on here who disagree with you think then you need to take your ball and go play by yourself. I have no doubt NCC is really good, heck they should be they enjoy the benefits of being private but they would not want any part of this Mayfield team. We have way to many weapons and the physical play to go with and did I mention a qb that would blow your socks off. Mayfield is likely the best team in the lower 3 classes and NCC might be 2nd. Historially, Mayfield has also been better. I have a nice memory of playing aginst Frank Jacobs once apon a time myself

The thing about LCA's massacre of Mayfield last year was the late scoring which I found to be in poor taste. They were better but we did alot to help them but you know what, it doesn't really bother or even matter to me anymore. Let's say I moved on yesterday

I stayed for all the games so I posted little on my phone. thanks guys for your compliments. I think this is Mayfield's 2nd best team all time or 3rd. 78 was the best. 95 would give this team a run. This team had 11 running clocks First team defense gave up 84 points all year Mayfield offense lead the state in scoringthis year
