Maybe the McCreary JV that beat Somerset was mostly sophomores and Juniors while the Somerset JV was a lot of freshman and sophomores.

He is very likely to pass the pace of Coleman but the amazing thing is that he scored 1,919 points in his senior year alone. Coleman only had 2344 points going into his senior year which Hatton could have in 60 more games at 22.4 per game to catch Coleman's pace. Then he just has to average 46.8 for 41 games in his senior year like Coleman did.

They won as freshman dunagin and the left handed kid started I think but no one else on the team now even dressed varsity I'm pretty sure

Were any of those coaches McCreary co. natives. I had forgot about Roscoe Denny who coached only one season but I don't know that he was fired, he seems to be someone who has moved around a lot so maybe he just decided to leave on his own. Also what about Tim Stephens, he was the head coach for a year before Jones, did he get fired? I would be completly shocked if he was.

Has McCreary ever fired a coach in any sport due to lack of success?

I think Wayne and Pulaski are too close to call with Mercer not too far behind. Then East, Lincoln, Southwestern, Danville, McCreary and West all pretty much interchangable just depends on who shows up on a given night. Actually I'd put East a notch above the rest of that group. After that Boyle is probably the only team that could pull an upset but most likely could not win three in a row to win the region.

Five points is a drubbing?

There is an old gym in Corbin, probably from the 30's. I think I was there once for a middle school game but not sure what they use it for today.

I think Pulaski Co's margin was also 11 points. Five point win over Clay Co in the first round and then three straight two point wins.

He is a guard. I think he is right about 6'0". Shoots it pretty well and gets to the rim well, scores well is transition too. Look for stories about Pulaski here http://www.somerset-kentucky.com I know he has hit high 20's, low 30's a couple of times already this year.

So far this season Kody Johnson (also a sophomore) has been Pulaski's top player, probably averaged about 24 points a game but between him Gover and Goins they have three sophomores that can have big games any night.

What a nice win that would have been for the Maroons if they could have held on.

My prediction is PPD, if they do play though I say close game but Wayne pulls away late and wins by 13.

Based on the results so far I'd say Pulaski is the clear #1. True they have had only one game which could be considered a test (McCreary). But if McCreary can play with Mercer and Mercer can play with Wayne then there is no clear path to the title unless Pulaski is actually this good ( which I don't believe they are) and they have that path to the title. Right now I'd rank them 1 Pulaski 2 Wayne 3 Mercer 4-8 Southwestern McCreary, E Jess, W Jess 9 Danville 10 Boyle

McCreary does have a tought schedule with Scott Co, Catholic etc. but they the games they have played so far aren't ones they should be avoiding. They will probably play Mercer and Pulaski every year regardless of how strong or weak either of the teams are.

Does Garrard have a new gym. I was thinking last year the school opened but they still played at the same gym.
