Ballard 94, Pulaski County 85 -- The No. 10 Bruins were led by freshman guard Quinten Snider, 22 of his 25 points coming in the second half. Taylor Gover led the Maroons (3-1) with 25 points. The Bruins will play No. 16 Holmes tomorrow at 6:30 PM as the Hoopin It Up Holiday Classic continues at South Laurel High School.

What a nice win that would have been for the Maroons if they could have held on.

Gover is only a sophomore and a dynamite player. This tournament is showcasing a lot of young talent in the Frosh/Soph classes.

Pulaski Co actually led much of this game. It wasn't until the 4th quarter that Ballard was able to pull away.

 

Snyder with another big game for the Bruins.

 

He'll lead Ballard today against Holmes in what will be the first of two matchups this year between the Dogs and Bruins.

So far this season Kody Johnson (also a sophomore) has been Pulaski's top player, probably averaged about 24 points a game but between him Gover and Goins they have three sophomores that can have big games any night.

He is a guard. I think he is right about 6'0". Shoots it pretty well and gets to the rim well, scores well is transition too.

I know he has hit high 20's, low 30's a couple of times already this year.

Impressive, he and Gover must really form a great tandem.
