McCreary Central 10 13 12 11 46

Pulaski Co. (2-0) -- Bell 6, Gover 11, Johnson 32, Goins 7, Ball 5, Lan 2, Abner 8, Wesley 2, Lang 4, Smith 4.

McCreary Central (0-2) -- Dixon 8, Williams 10, Ball 2, Strunk 11, Perry 2, Quarter 3, Goins 1, Gregory 3, Stephens 1, Duncan 2, Barnett 3.

Looks like the Watts and Company hangover is moving from Football to Basketball.....Could be a long season for McCreary.

This was quite a spanking, a real taking out back to the Wood Shed. Pulaski completely dominated this game from start to finish. McCreary has a good frontcourt with Strunk, Dixon and Williams but no Guard play at All. It Was ugly. Good Luck to Pulaski. Good Win!!

Hang in their Raiders. They have 5 new starters. It will take some time but they will get it together. Keep your heads up boys!

I think Robert Jones needs to look to downgrade his schedule after Watts and company left. I would suggest adding teams that they can compete with. There is no shame in downgrading your schedule to where you can compete.

Seems to me as if Pulaski may deserve a little more credit than they have been getting as far as talk about the top teams in the region. McCreary just played with one of the top two teams in the region a week ago (the same team that PC took to the wire in the region semi's last year and both teams return nearly everyone) but then the Maroons turn around and wear them out. I think the 12th is at least a three team race with PC being one of those top three.

I agree Pulaski is a top 3, 12th Regional Team. They have 4 real nice players, must guard all 4 of them. They will be a tough out at Tourney Time.

Looks like West Jess is not missing Polson so much that they can't play. McCreary will be fine if they can find a guard to get them into there Offence.

How would not playing Pulaski County be beneficial for McCreary Central? It's a neighboring school with a large following. I would think the Raiders would want to keep the Maroons on the schedule no matter what.

McCreary does have a tought schedule with Scott Co, Catholic etc. but they the games they have played so far aren't ones they should be avoiding. They will probably play Mercer and Pulaski every year regardless of how strong or weak either of the teams are.

I agree McCreary should want to keep all 12th Regional Schools on Schedule regardless of the Strength of those Teams. When Jerry Stephens Coached at Central he always played the type of Schedule McCreary is playing this year. This Schedule will make this McCreary team better at Tourney Time.

I think he needs to keep the 12th region teams, but pick up some out of region schools that he can compete with now that Watts is gone. Eminence, Cordia, Model, Louisville Collegiate etc. At least get some teams that the Raider could compete with till Raider Rob gets them whipped into shape or the corp has a few more......

Coach Jones has no choice but to play Mercer and Pulaski County. How does he downgrade mandatory opponents? They just got to get better and improve. They will.

I fully agree, the Maroons will give Mercer and Wayne all they can handle. The Maroons could be the cream of the Region.

CELLKING --Looks like we are going to be hearing about Watts all basketball season too :) I don't follow baseball as much so I won't have to endure hearing all about how much MCHS misses him during the Spring. It must have been nice that Watts was a one man football, basketball and baseball show.
