SportsGuy41017
Who were the first three teams that Simon Kenton played in the 1981 Sweet 16? I know it was Mason Co in the finals. Thanks

Todd May (I think) was playing for Virgie and Manual Forrest for Moore.
Bengal Maniac
That is correct. In the semi finals Moore was the state favorite to win it all. Forrest Manual was ejected around halftime of the game against the Pioneers. Of course, McKinley was money the whole tournament.

Sixth Man
It was Louisville Moore's second best player. I don't remember his name but it was a big loss for that team.
NEERFAN
Manual didn't get ejected. He ended up with 47 points. I knew he had over 40 but didn't realize he went for 47. I bet no other team has yielded 47 points to an opposing player twice since Langhi also netted 47 in 2005.

NEERFAN
Thinking his last name was Rowe...not 100% sure. That sound about right, I'm about to call Eric Deters for confirmation on this. I will also ask him about that CONNOR team from '81.

Bengal Maniac
Sorry about that. I remember listening to it on the radio and recall the ejection, got the wrong player. You guys know more than me on this obviously.
EZ Living
Anybody remember the 23,000 crowd for the championship game? There couldn't have been in a soul left in Mason Co. that night.
Clyde
Anybody remember the 23,000 crowd for the championship game? There couldn't have been in a soul left in Mason Co. that night. It was actually around 21k if I remember correctly. At the time it was a record. Damon Bailey's team may have broken that record his senior year.
