  1. After having read through this topic, we can probably all agree that the winner will have to be strong in all 3 phases of the game, offense, defense and special teams, and the team that makes the fewest mistakes will probably win. We will probably agree that players will make plays, on both sides of the ball. But I think there is one little tangible tidbit we maybe overlooking. What's that you ask? The Morris' Joe and Jason the Head Coaches. Who will have the better game plan? Who will put his players in position to make the necessary plays at the necessary time. No disrespect towards Jason, but Joe and his staff has been here and done that, and has the rings to prove it. I think I trust Joe and his staff to do all the right crossing of the I's and dotting of the T's to get this done. They have certainly played in more "big time" atmosphere's than OC has. Does that mean anything? We will all find out on Friday!
  2. Pretty bold statement, at this time of the year, I don't think anyone is overrated!
  3. Congratulations to all the guys and gals who are working this Friday night. 6 Championship crews at various games throughout the state, and 6 all star crews from various associations across the state. Remember with out these guys and gals, it would just be a rec league game. So while you are cheering for your favorite team, try to give the guys and gals in stripes a little mercy and grace this Friday night as well.
  4. I've thought that all week, that the winner here in this game will be the 2A Champion.
  5. Mizz’s two loses were to LSU and Georgia. Two teams in the top 25. While it is 2 losses, those 2 are much better than Louisville’s one lost to a 3 win team in Pitt
  6. You and me both, But I believe, the Ville will beat Florida St., and I believe Oregon will be Washington in the rematch.
  7. Not that it’s very relevant but I might have Louisville above Missouri. Not with UL horrible loss to a terrible Pitt team, no way.
  8. Wow, that is a pretty bold statement, that I will say I agree to disagree with you on that.
  9. Granted as most comments are they are the opinion of the person commenting. Yes, they do have Texas ahead of Bama, and I'm sure that gap between the two is closing more and more each week, just like it is in the Coaches and AP polls. I agree that depending on IF they beat Georgia and how bad will be a key factor. I hope that Bama does beat Georgia, so the committee has to make some very tough decisions. I think Florida State, will get beat by the Ville in the ACC championship game, eliminating them. I think Oregon will be Washington in a rematch, and we will eliminate either OSU or the school up North this Saturday. IF, that scenario comes to fruition, then your 4 teams will be OSU/Michigan Oregon, Bama, Georgia. I disagree, they will take a one loss Georgia team over a one loss Texas team. You can MARK THAT DOWN!
  10. Kid's are out of school the day before and the day after Thanksgiving, and a lot of folks are off the day after Thanksgiving as well. So I see no unfair advantage there.
  11. Never a truer word spoken, Brohm knows he can go 1-11 as long as he wins the Governor's Cup. But we have all seen this year, I doubt he will go 1-11 ever at the Ville.
  12. I'll take the bait, this Belfry team is not one that we are accustomed to seeing. Belfry lost to a Single A power in Pikeville, while Hart beat a Single A power this year in Campbellsville. I think Glasgow and Franklin-Simpson and Union County, were just as good as Rockcastle County. Finally Bell's opponent's record is 77-72, while Hart's opponent's is 80-61. Bottom line, that's comparing Apple's to Orange's. One thing is for sure, this should be a great game in Munfordville, Friday Night!
  13. Coach Chad Griffin and his staff are to be commended. They have this team ready week in and week out. Would love to see them beat Bell and make it to Kroger Field! If they do, last one out of Munfordville, turn off the lights!
  14. So are you telling me that Texas is a better team now, than they were in September?
  15. Results mattered back in September, but we are at the end of November now. Texas has been Bama's only loss, while Texas lost to a Average OK team, and struggled against K-State and Iowa St. Texas is not as good late in the season as they were in September, while Bama has continued to improve week in and week out. If those two were to play now, Bama beats them by 2 TD's.
  16. Must have been more than 15 yards to gain for a first down!
  17. 2 years ago, I was at the ECU/Cincy game in Greenville, NC. Cincy won the game with ease, and there were 4 Cincy fans in front of me, saying what they would do in the playoffs if they got in or in a Power 5 Conference if they got in. Well if memory serves me will, they were destroyed in the playoffs, and their first year in the Big XII has not been kind. I do hope they rebound, because as a WVU fan, I want them to be good for not only the conference, but hopefully to create a rivalry game, since we currently do not have one in the conference.
  18. Michigan or OSU will be undefeated and Big 10 Champ. If Oregon and Washington meet again, Oregon will win that rematch, Oregon has played much better since that loss than Washington has. If Bama beats Georgia, you have to take Bama over Texas, for 2 reasons, one they knocked off the 2-time defending NC, and if Bama was to play Texas now, Bama would be them according to the eye test. My final 4 would be 1 Michigan, 2. Oregon, 3. Bama, 4. Georgia.
  19. I think the contract with A&M was guaranteed, which means they owe him the whole enchilada regards if he gets another job or not, but I could be wrong, and have beenmore times than I'd like to think.
  20. Someone from WVU make a call to Jimbo and bring the boy home! Shoot we wouldn't have to pay him for several years!
  21. Very reason there should be a 35 second shot clock in High School. Just my opinion.
  22. In order to win this game, you must be sound in all 3 phases. Offense, Defense, and Special Teams. I like SW on Offense with Spurrier, and I like SW on Defense, but I think BG has the edge on Special Teams, and all it takes is one big break to change the all valuable MO in this game. SW has to stay away from their dumb penalties, and BG O line and D Line will have to play well. Coaching will play a big role with regards to adjustments and because of that I like BG to win. But anyone who thinks this will be a blow out will be sadly mistaken, unless one team turns the ball over to many times. BG 24 SW 21
