The UNC job is now open. Who do you believe will get the job?

A few names people in an article in The Athletic were:

Mark Byington: Vanderbilt

Billy Donovan: Chicago Bulls (apparently is willing to listen to their pitch)

Tommy Lloyd: Arizona (the possible favorite)

Dusty May: Michigan

T.J. Otzelberger: Iowa State

I personally hope it’s not Dusty May or TJ. As those two and Nate Oats are the three main guys I would want UK to target if UK were to open up next year. 

For 65 years they've had a Carolina Man as the head coach, the next guy will have an even shorter leash if he's not a UNC guy.

That's who I would want if UK was moving on from Pope.

No doubt. Unfortunately I think he will end up at UNC or possibly Kansas this cycle, as Kansas may be opening up too. 

I am all in on Dusty May or TJ Otzelberger as the next head coach at Kentucky, if things do not work out with Mark Pope. Throw the absolute bank at either of those two candidates. I just don't know if May would leave Michigan, why would he? Dude has his current team as the likely favorite to win it all this year. 

I think it comes down to Lloyd or Donovan but that is total speculation on my part.

You probably are right, because he could end up at UNC. As Dusty May's buyout is a lot less than some of the other guys UNC is also looking at. 

Billy D. is not going to UNC.

The UNC coaching search will look just like a UK search will look next year, and probably a lot like the UK search two years ago. Interesting watching for UK fans.

My guess would be he stays int NBA.
