  1. Sizemore is a good coach. I wish them the best and hope they represent KY well in the EYBL. They will definately be fun to watch if this lineup does in fact happen.
  2. I am not knocking HHS at all. I actually grew up a fan of the football program. It is one of the best and they have tons of history. The basketball program on the other hand is a work in process and has been for some time. If I were a football only guy, it is a no brainer to go Ft. Thomas. A two sport athlete that may have a basketball lean or is undecided, I am thinking Cooper for my son. Just my opinion.
  3. Not to shabby is getting carried away? I didnt claim greatness. They are doing great for a new program.
  4. He's a legit D1 prospect in basketball also. How would Highlands handle a two sport athlete? I think he may be a great fit for Coach Sullivan at Cooper. Their football program is not too shabby either.
  5. Bezold is a very smart player with a really nice shot. He has the potential to crack the top 10 easily and maybe more.
  6. How does this look for a top 10 scenario. I am including all freshman regardless of what level they play. and no 8th. graders. Carson Williams Ben Weyer Markel McClendon Trent McGovney Andrew Arnold Brandon Moore Ethan Snapp Davonte Williams Austin Sweeney Jacob Smith
  7. In all honesty, I am taking McGovney over any guard listed here, but if we were chosing sides and I had first pick. I want Carson Williams. Easily the most complete player for his age and would provide the most upside.
  8. If I had to guess I would put him just at or a little under 6'0". He could use a little time in the weight room, but this kid can stroke it and has a good feel for the game.
  9. The video was so bogus. I will admit he has handles, but the entire game was dumbed down to his level.
  10. The Schreck kid at Dixie is a really nice guard with good size for a soph.
  11. Wouldn't playing JV as a freshman be considered "Playing up" ?
  12. Sweeney could handle playing up. He is very athletic and long with a nice outside shot.
  13. Koby is a real solid point guard. I believe he played up last year as an 8th grader.
  14. I will agree that they did not underachieve last year given their lack of varsity experience, but steps were not taken the previous year to gain the experience. IMO you have to build the program. If that means that an underperforming upper classman sits, then reality check for that player. I know. trust me there are parents and other factors that go into coaches decisions on this stance, but the coaches have to be able to do what is best for the current year and the future. I hope these changes will be positive for the Conner program. If Bowman is coming from Ryle, that will be great. Good guy and good coach.
  15. I thought this thread would have generated alot more buzz.
  16. We were at NKU for all of Sunday for bracket play. We lost to Charlotte Court in the finals by 8.
  17. The U14 NKY Buldlogs will be in Florence for the Spring Classic and the U15 team will be in Mason at C4S.
  18. I read where the U14 DI state only had three teams enter. Does this mean that DII this weekend will be loaded?
  19. Well the win could have done nothing to improve their seed. So nothing lost there. IMO Cal uses this as a teaching point. He openly admitted that he wasn't a big fan of playing three games in a row right before the big one and this may have played into his strategy. They took 28 treys. If a couple of those go in then the Cats get the win and nothing said. If they don't then oh well they didn't. I don't think that Coach Cal instructed them to loose, but I don't think he pulled out all of the stops to win.
  20. If the starting center could be a point guard, isn't that a good thing?
  21. I would add Downs at Ockerman to the 8th grade list. Kid has one of the best shots in NKY.
