Big changes in AAU for 2015
Handy Manny replied to SHS Future's topic in AAU / Select / Club / Travel Sports
I am curious to see how the trickle down affect will play out with all of the non aau events and leagues. Most of these types use aau rules which has allowed for a 24 month period per grade. This worked because a team could be formed with the intention of playing in the aau state and national and not have to make roster changes. With these adjustments to the aau rules, will more teams shy away form holdback players and will the non certified events change their rules? -
My three year old has expressed interest in being a bird before. Should I consider purchasing a cage? But seriously what would be wrong with just letting the little boy play and act like he wants. This is way too early in a child's life to address this type thing. Boys will be boys, girls will be girls, but most importantly kids will be kids. I am not going to freak out everytime my son wears a bracelet or my daughter throws a football.

Shaq in Grown Ups 2. -
Have they lost anyone from the first post? If not, are they carrying 14 players? No doubt that is a very talented bunch, but going into the July evaluation period it may be difficult to get all of them the amount of exposure they are looking for.

Boone County Sheriff’s deputy shot and killed the driver of a car
Handy Manny replied to theguru's topic in BGP Break Room
So focus on one car while everyone else leaves ? Don't get me wrong more evidence may shed a whole new light, but from what I saw the officer should not have ended up on her hood. -

After watching the video I have to say that her keaving with the possibility of being drunk and possibly wrecking and killing everyone in her car is no different than the officer shooting the driver abd having the car wreck into a ditch . It appears that the officer should had let her go and call it in and focus on the people who were there. He was only one officer and wasn't going to get everyone. -

I have read several of the articles and I have not seen where it stated how many other officers where present. Does anyone know? The officer was responding to a call about a field party. My experience with field parties is typically a whole whole bunch of teenagers. You would think there would had been several officers and a plan in place for runners. -
I had just read on twitter that blue had won Knoxville and red won Disney. I didn't know which one was which. That is a very nice win and I apologize if it seemed like I was trying to discredit it. Congrats to TBC.

E1T1 sent the Blue Squad to KnoxVegas and the Red squad to Disney. I don't know which is more elite than the other since they are both E1T1 Elite, but they were not the same team.

Congrats to Andrew. -
The knife by itself in the vehicle is no more dangerous than the vehicle itself. If he had tried to bring the knife into the school then you could argue what his intentions were and therefor he should be subjected to punishment. If the student was intent on causing harm, he could have easily ran over multiple students with the vehicle that he was allowed to bring.

Boone County 62 Newport 29
Handy Manny replied to Just Jim's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Snapp may be in need of some weight, but I don't believe he is "frail" Clyde. Almost every player he goes against will have a size advantage and I have personally seen him school his fair share. I don't want to make excuses, but I am hearing that he has been playing while trying to battle a cold or possibly the flu. You do what you have to do when you are needed to lead the team, but I think a healthy Snapp in this game and the box score looks considerably different. -

Newport 87 Holy Cross 79 (9th Region All "A")
Handy Manny replied to statman's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
This was a fun game to watch if you like offense. Both teams are young and battled to outscore each other. Tyler Bezold is a do-all for Holy Cross. He will handle the pressure, shoot the three, post up, block shots, and whatever else needs to be done. He may tend to force shots at times, but he was doing more good than bad and finished with a team high 20 points. I went expecting Ethan Snapp to put on a show and instead he quietly put up 22 points. It was nothing flashy. He did what good players do. He took his opportunities and hit his open looks and made his free throws. Holy Cross had a tail on him all night and forced Newport to beat them with someone else. Michael Turner and Paul Price stepped up huge. These guys put up 18 and 21 and played like they had an extra motor. Turner is deceptively quick and attacks the basket extremely well. Price is quick and forced several turnovers that led to buckets. Coach Snapp had his guys fired up. Newport will need to get better on defense. They gave up a lot of easy baskets, but you can definitely see this team growing. I give credit to Coach Schrand and Holy Cross for spreading the floor very well. They utilize their strengths and move the ball extremely well. Both of these teams have tremendous upside to them. -
Ethan will get there. He is a very good player who is putting in the work.
