  1. I feel the same way about a group like this as I do a high school "athletic" transfer. If the parents are willing to go to lengths of moving a family or giving up custody so that the paperwork is in order. Then so be it. It is all on the up and up. I am sure when cross boundry rules and transfer rules were put in place the idea was to deter recruiting, but I bet they never had any idea what lengths parents would go to for sports advancement. If they are good in accordance with the rules set in place by whatever league or tournament they are playing then that is it. Play the game. I don't have to like it, but I respect it.
  2. I have a question if anyone could answer. The 22 feet academy is playing in an aau type tournament at the KBA. It is not sanctioned so it does not apply here, but will they be able to play in say the aau state tournament which is sanctioned? I know the aau and ncaa events have limits on the number of cross boundry athletes and go as far as to say that the states must be adjoining. How does that apply to out of the country athletes who may be from several different countries.
  3. There is an aau tournament this weekend at the KBA where a 22 feet academy freshman team is listed in a pool. Do they have teams at different grade levels?
  4. Schedules have been posted for the Bearcat Classic: NKY Bulldogs will play Key Players, SMAC - Moody, & Indy EBC NKY Legends will play Ohio Unity, Dayton Metro, & Ohio Cagers WKY Sonics will play Next Level Retros, Dayton Pilots, & Shining Star - Zadelli Hoop Dreams will play Cincy Lakers, Shining Star - Clinkenbeard, & AAG There are 29 teams. Looks liek a good tournament.
  5. I can not account for his actual age, but I do know that he is eligible to play U15 per the AAU guidelines. He played U14 at nationals last year with All Ohio Elite. That makes him eligible for a comparison to all other U15 players. He may be older, but he is not the only one. He is playing by the rules set forth by the governing body. The playing field tends to level out at the high school age anyway. The cream will rise to the top. Cumberland is a beast any way you put it.
  6. KnoxVegas is a nice tournament. Good luck Timberwolves.
  7. The NKY Bulldogs - U15 will be playing at the Bearcat. As far as I know, the schedules have not been posted yet.
  8. Walter his name is Cumberland and he is the real deal.
  9. Watch the youtube of the 2010 dunk contest at Spiece Fieldhouse and you might reconsider that. Montgomery could leap.
  10. Travis Montgomery 2011 Boone County grad. Probably one of the all time best leapers in NKY.
  11. This appears to be a link to an older version of their website. Try http://nkybulldogs.com/
  12. This is sad. Todd is a great coach and an important piece to Boone County success over the recent years as a jv coach and his development of players on his aau teams. Coaches need to be allowed to coach.
  13. NKY Bulldogs - U15 Roster Gregg Frist Christian Academy Koby Carlton Gallatin County Adam Goetz St. Henry Andy Flood Covington Catholic Ethan Snapp Newport Tyler Bezold Holy Cross Austin Sweeney Covington Catholic Mason Borchers Owen County Paul Wallenhorst St. Henry Dalton Frasure Prestonburg
  14. The NKY Bulldogs U15 will post their roster and schedule after their workout this weekend.
  15. No Stearns on Manimal? I heard he would be playing with them.
  16. This was the team that also had McDonald. That would be a huge loss for any team.
  17. Moore from holmes is playing with the KY Timberwolves and Snapp is with the NKY Bulldogs
  18. That's absurd. You may be the model of respect and consideration but mishaps happen. I have three kids and we have missed an appointment by complete accident before. I would pay $100 for the inconvenience, but anything over that is ludacris. If patients have consitent problems, then avoid scheduling them. They most likely would not pay any way. The poeple who would pay are most likely the patients who would normally not have an atendance problem in the first place. This sounds like another case of punishing the people who follow the rules.
  19. I'm typically a Woodford guy, but have recently been drinking a new brand called Larceny. Has anyone else tried it? It is really good and has a nice mail in rebate also to sweetin deal.
  20. Many have asked why the principal did not say "no" from the start. That would have started a backlash of complaints from parents of every cheerleader. IMO what should have happened as a responsible leader. The principal, who was well aware of the teams intentions, should have checked into the ruling of whether or not the team could even had participated as an independent and then helped in finding an administrator if not. I know this is probably not directly in their job description, but this would have been a chance to earn much needed positive attention for DHHS and instead has become another debacle. The whole situation seems to have been handled wrongly and I feel like the principal definitely needs to share in pain.
  21. This makes no sense in this discussion. This is an individual accomplishment. The success of NKY teams has nothing to do with the overall ability of an individual player. Case in point being Campbell from Holy Cross.
