  1. According to today's mindset, this movie was wrong in so many ways and I really like it.
  2. I would have considered that except that mental illness costumes were not part of the costumes that were asked to be refrained from. That leads one to believe that it is another issue. Per the quote from the article below. He asked that employees refrain from political, religious, ethic and gender based costumes at other functions.
  3. I was just thinking, but what if the players have just unintentionally found a new way to punish the coaches. I don't like my coach so I will get him suspended. Players need to be accountable for their own actions and I feel like the coach should have been allowed to discipline them on his own instead of the coach being suspended when he apparently wasn't present for the video. Coaches and teachers are becoming powerless.
  4. It would be if they served alcohol to minors. I am not in favor of zero tolerance at all. Don't get me wrong. I believe it is a scapegoat to rid administrators of any accountability, but a stated earlier, I would like to know exactly how long she was at the party and when she received the call from her friend. I would say if her friend called for a ride then 15 minutes or less to get out of there was sufficient. If she stayed an hour, then she had put herself into a position where she was no longer a ride home, but a partier as well. Sad, but as the saying goes, lay down with dogs, get up with fleas.
  5. The problem with punishing a student for having a "weapon" in their car is that the car itself could be a weapon if they wanted to hurt an individual. A tire tool can be a weapon. If someone is going to hurt someone, they can do it with sticks and rocks if they want. The Wiki definition of a weapon is any devise used in order to inflict damage or harm to living beings, structures, or systems. The key word is "used" Everything can be considered a weapon if we assume that a person will use it in that manner, but if there is no intention at all to harm then most things are not weapons. I honestly believe that society has lost touch with reality.
  6. Congratulations. Nice program getting a nice player.
  7. (1) Any play involving more than two (2) people at a time where score is kept, either among the players, on a flip scoreboard, digital scoreboard, or using any other device. So does this mean a game of 2 on 2 to 10 points is technically illegal?
  8. No. Owner is not at fault at all. The same goes for if the kid gets hurt jumping the fence. He should not be able to sue. That is the risk associated with trespassing. The dog doesn't know any better than to attack. People have the ability to rationalize and therefor should only use lethal force when threatened. JMO. I hate to see someone die especially when there wasn't a threat of harm to anyone. As much as I dislike thieves and vandals, property can be replaced and a stint in jail or detention is an acceptable form of punishment. I believe that as a homeowner you have the right to attempt to stop the person and the second a threat arises by all means use force, but people especially kids and teenagers do stupid things all the time.
  9. The last time I checked trespassing was not punishable by death. I am all for being able to protect yourself, but I am not in favor of taking another life if mine or my families is not threatened. If he confronted the individual and was attacked then it was justified, but if he ran out in a blaze of glory shooting then it is not. Like Clyde said, I used to cut through yards all the time when I was younger. And yes I used to jump fences also. We used to play manhunt in the city streets. Maybe it wasn't a brilliant idea, but I never had any fear of being shot at or killed. We never meant any harm to anyone either, but I guess times are different.
  10. Was at a Red's game a few weeks ago and the guy in front of me had his arm around his wife and his hand was resting in my cup holder. I asked my son to hold my beer while I reached in my pocket for money and didn't think anything about it.
  11. Adam will have a nice year at St. Henry. He is a super quick guard with good handles. I know he is putting a lot of time in the gym and had a really solid summer with his AAU team. I am looking forward to seeing him get some serious varsity time this year.
  12. Look for Tyler Bezold to break out this year and take over for Holy Cross. He can really stroke it from behind the arc and is very consistent. He had a huge summer with the NKY Bulldogs. He is extremely fundamental, has a high basketball IQ, and a great shot.
  13. Congrats TBC. That is a nice piece of hardware to add to the collection.
  14. Yes he is in his proper grade, but one of the younger players. Which is a good thing for Ethan because he has been able to develop his skill set without relying on a physical advantage. As he matures physically and adds more weight and strength he will only continue to improve. I can imagine he is going to turn quite a few heads this winter.
  15. I understand not wanting to go to Arkansas and from what I saw the D1 and D2 tournaments did not field very well. The only drawback I see is that the D3 tournament is not an NCAA certified event. It would be nice to see one of these teams win it all though.
  16. I just read where TBC Elite and the 606 Tropics have both won their opening round pool games at AAU DIII nationals. Congrats.
  17. The NKY Bulldogs U15 and U16 teams competed in the GRBA National tournament this past weekend. The U16 group went to the silver bracket elite eight and the U15 group lost in the gold bracket finals by 1 point. The U15 group had nice wins over Common Bond from Michigan and the Indy Elite Club team. There were tons of coaches at this event and several of them stopped by to check out the Bulldogs.
  18. Ethan is not as strong as Hatton was as a rising soph, but Snapp is very young for his grade. Really close to being considered as playing up a year. My point is that he will continue to mature physically for a while.
  19. Last weekend he was playing with the U15 group. He has played with the U16's some and done well. He is a high caliber player and will continue to get better. This kid works and works and as he develops physically he will be a force.
  20. Really good player with an amazing work ethic. He is having an outstanding year with the NKY Bulldogs. He put up 32 points last weekend in their championship win over Louisville Legends.
  21. This is a NCAA certified event at the Spiece Fieldhouse starting on Thursday. I know the NKY Bulldogs U15 and U16 will be there. Any other teams from KY going? The Spiece Fieldhouse is one of the best venues ever IMO.
  22. Jared is growing into a very nice player. He will most certainly be a nice addition to the Bullitt East team. Good Luck to the Farris family.
  23. The Bulldogs are playing in the Bluechip Exposure Showcase at Midamerica this weekend and then heading to Ft. Wayne next week for their D1 national tournament. I'm sure they will be at this event next year because it is nice to play local after the Adidas event in Indy, but their schedule was set before Hoopfest was even announced this year.
  24. I agree. I think this tournament will recover because Eddie runs a well organized event, but it may take a few years. There used to be tons of teams per age group.
  25. The NKY Bulldogs will be sending their U15 and U16 teams to Indy this week for the Adidas Invitational. There are over 100 teams per age group. I also saw where KY Elite, Louisville Magic, and TBC will be playing U15 there as well. Anyone else going to this event.
