Dayton 41 Beechwood 39
Also, if anyone knows the BW kid that was called these offensive, derogatory names, you would know he would never have provoked this situation. One of the best, humble, good all around kids you could meet. I feel bad for him that he has to go through this because he is an outstanding athelete.

Beechwood 2010
And Davis has decided to play Basketball this winter. That hurts when lifting and conditioning comes around in Jan.

1A Final: Lexington Christian Academy 55 Mayfield 19
Congrats LCA, Mayfield be proud of this years season and focus on next year's. I know that Mayfield had a bad game but, I cannot get over the level of talent between, or the big difference from LCA to Mayfield, Mayfield to Beechwood, Crittenden CO, or Hazard.

Beechwood 2010
Gage is a current Freshman. I did not get to see any Freshman games only was told how they played. And I was told that he and Max Nussbaum usually had great games. However, I did see all of the Varsity games and those two did a fine job when they were in the game. I heard that Gage was also a Quarterback when he was a Spartan. Maybe the tigers will have another great running QB like Rigdon in a few years. I cannot wait for Aug. 2010 to get hear.

Beechwood 2010
In my opinion, I feel it will be a little like this season trying to find what kid at what position works best. I think you are probably correct with these kids at the positions you already have listed. As far as Davis or Colosimo, I think it will be Colosimo. He has paid his dues with two years of JV. Not to take any thing away from Davis, but that is my opinion of the situation. I think that the Freshman Gage Erdman, will probably have a starting role somewhere, just not sure where. There are going to be alot of current Sophmores that are going to be tested at the O and D lines that had pretty good growth spurts this year, as the same for wide recievers, and the D-backs. As someone stated in another thread, there may be enough O and D linemen to go one way. My biggest hope is that Zac Larimore will come back healthy if at all.

Massey Finals predictions
I think the T and X game will be closer. This reminds me of last year's game. T has been coming on strong lately, while X seems to be playing strong just like they have been, no more than that. But I can't really argue with the ratings either if you look at how the season for these two have been, on paper X is the better team. I cannot wait until Dec. 5. I also look for Mayfield to put more on the board than 20.

Mayfield 38 Beechwood 0
Congradulations to Mayfield. Very impressive, you guys were right when you said you did not get the respect you deserve. Best of luck next week in BG, I hope you guys bring home the title.

Yes he did, cannot wait until next season for him to shine. I hope he can hit the weights this off season and add some bulk.

Mayfield/Beechwood Predictions
Crittenden Co. came up to Beechwood last year for this same game.

Massey Predictions for Regionals
Birdsfan, I think you definetly answered his question, I believe Anderson also had one of the best O-lineman in the nation before his senior season was cut short by an injury. I believe His name is Andrew Norwell(spelling ?).

Newport Central Catholic 26 Beechwood 22
Before everyone turns this into a Coach bashing thread, let's not forget where he was. Pretty serious problems he was or still is going through.

Newport Central Catholic 26 Beechwood 22
As we all know, both of these schools had a tough schedule in the beginning which has paid off now. Was New-Cath playing alot of underclassmen last night? I am just wondering how these two will match up for the next few years. Hats off to Brady Highchew, I knew that Chris Kelly was dangerous in the back field, but this kid is equally as. And to step up into the Qb role like he did. He will be a very exciting player to watch the next two years. Congrats Breds on your win.

Beechwood 20 Bellevue 8
Would you care to elaborate why you don't like either team? I for one, almost always have one reason I would like one team to win over another. I think in all of High School football in NKY, there might be just one team I don't care for. I cannot imagine it being BW or BV, But I know that is just my opinion.

Bellevue/Beechwood Predictions
Cody Elliott was a tuition student from Boone Co's district. Maybe Travis did not want to follow in his footsteps. Being at Ryle, there is no question that he is in a good academic school and a good football program. I have several friends and family members where the older sibling went to a private school, but the younger ones just wanted to go to the puplic school.

Bellevue/Beechwood Predictions
I do not think Beechwood is using them because they need them. I think if they see some up and coming Freshman they like to get them in some. They did this a little last year with Staten, and Vocke. As for the two Freshman, they are; Max Nussbaum, younger brother of the Sophmore Kicker Joey, and Gage Erdman. Both are very fast, and like to hit.

Scott High School Football
Right on target. It is going to take a group of NKYFL kids to stick together to have a chance at winning. SK was able to do this, and I don't see how you can say there is tradition with SK football, look at how bad they were a few years ago even through the nineties.

Dayton Football
Look at the number of kids Dayton has to work with. I beleive there are just over 200 kids in the High School. This is the smallest school with a football team in NKY. I am sure Coach Deaton is doing the best he can with what he has to work with.

Highlands/Beechwood (JV) updates
Vocke mostly for Beechwood. Highland scored on two long passes. Not sure of the reciever. Highlands got another score before half following a long kick return making the score 23-21 Beechwood.
-
Highlands/Beechwood (JV) updates
I believe the final was 38-23 Highlands. It was a very good game up until the third quarter. Injuries started piling up for Beechwood. Both JV quarterbacks are hurt. I wouldn't be suprised to see the rest of the games canceled.

Help me understand class determination?
Highlands is able to move up from 3A to 5A because there were no other schools in No. KY. 3A or 4A to play and all of their games would involve traveling to other districts. Some feel Beechwood should move up a class from 1A. There is not a geographical need meaning there are plenty other 1A teams in their area. They are not allowed even if they wanted, the KHSAA determines this.

Beechwood/Covington Catholic Predictions
I would not agree that Campbell County is better than Beechwood. The Camels have always been either an on or off team, in some ways just like Dixie has been. I might even agree that Cov Cath has the better team. With that being said, this will no doubt be a hard fought game until the end. B-woods' defense still needs some improvement stopping the outside run. Both teams are not the the same team as they were in week #1.

Highlands/Beechwood Predictions
Dont know if anyone noticed, B-woods' four sophmores that played varsity on Sat. were working the sidelines of the JV game. I am pretty sure Pike, Cohorn, and Bruns played varsity on Sat. for Dixie. I doubt this JV game would have been that close if B-woods four guys were playing.

So, if we strictly went with the "toughest mascot"...

Beechwood 36 Highlands 21 (NKY Frosh Championship)
The Frosh have different uniforms than jv/varsity. The coaches decided that the boy's earned their tiger paws on their helments right before the championship game.
