I have checked the Massey Ratings predictions from time to time throughout this year and it is crazy how accurate they are in terms of who wins. I'd like to know their exact percentage rate? The other unbelievable fact about them is that not only are they correct on who wins, but more times than not, they have the the difference in the scores correct. Sometimes within a couple points of their predictions.

It does seem to be pretty accurate. I just checked out the Massey Top 25, noone in Ky on the list. There were 4 Ohio teams on it:

 

Anderson HS Cincinnati #14 (Never heard of them)

St Ignatius HS Cleveland #19

Elder HS Cincinnati #22

Dublin Coffman HS Dublin #23 (Never heard of them)

They should listen to USAToday, who just moved Highlands up to 8th on their Super25 list. :thumb: Massey does have an amazing ability to predict the outcome of games. It looks like they're predicting some really close games in each of the classes.

Birdsfan, who is Anderson out of Cincinnati? I hear alot about Elder, St X, Colerain, etc, but, this is a new one on me..

Anderson High School is part of the Forest Hills School District. The district is located 12 miles east of downtown Cincinnati and serves 45,000 residents in the east-side suburbs of Anderson Township and Newtown.

Anderson defeated Middletown in the OHSAA Division I Regional Semi-finals on Saturday. The Redskins will face Elder on Saturday, Nov. 21st in the Regional Finals.

Anderson was the Ohio D2 champ in '07 and finished 2nd in '08. They moved up to D1 this season. They did play Boone and beat them by 50+ this season.

Isn't the Massey Ratings the one that doesn't factor in the out of state games? (Highlands vs Withrow and Cinti. X )

Birdsfan, I think you definetly answered his question, I believe Anderson also had one of the best O-lineman in the nation before his senior season was cut short by an injury. I believe His name is Andrew Norwell(spelling ?).

They were D1 for quite a few years before moving down to D2. I think 2007 and 2008 were the only seasons at that classification for them before being moved back up.

Sounds like they would be a good matchup with Highlands...By the way, I put in Highlands vs Elder and Highlands vs Alcoa, Tn on a neutral site...According to Masseys:

True. If I could straighten out my drives, I think I could be lying four in Anderson Township from the end of Hollywoods.

Of course, I'd have to hit the I-275 bridge for the bounce.
