I take Highlands by 21, Beechwood just got beat bad so there down.

Aside from Highlands' mandatory district game with Scott, I think the Beechwood game will be the biggest blowout win Highlands will have this season. I am usually very hesitant to predict blowout scores, but Highlands could probably win this game 70-0 if they wanted to. Beechwood seems quite a bit down this year, and Highlands has a lot of depth.

By as many as Dale wants

Do we even need to go through this exercise? There is only one question in this game - how many TD's does Beechwood lose by? If Crane and Larimore are able to play, Beechwood may be able to hold HHS below 50. Without those two again, name your margin. Or here may be an interesting question for this thread, will there be one vote for Beechwood in the poll? And be aware, if you vote for Beechwood you are either the greatest Beechwood fan ever or need to find Dr. Phil immediately.

Agree, although Dale has a lot of respect for Beechwood's program and I'm sure it's vice versa. This is a series that Dale can't afford to lose and like another poster stated in another thread that Highlands won't want any part of Beechwood in a couple years. That to Dale makes this matchup that much more appealing to him to play the best.

I agree with raiderbird...if we want to discuss a more interesting game let's talk about the JV game that will be a prelude to the next couple of years. That game will be interesting!

Nah....After watching Highlands frosh last night I don't think we have anything to worry about for a few years. That was a very good football team playing St X who had a at least 100 players standing on their sidelines last night. McCoy, Highlands Qb is the real deal. Next year should be interesting at that spot. Now that I have wondered off from the Highlands/Beechwoods thoughts I still think Beechwood comes out refocused and gives the Birds a pretty decent game for a half.:thumb:

Does Beechwood have a hard time finding games each year. Because Highlands does. No point just a Question?

There is one way Beechwood can make this game interesting ... Rigdon completing some passes. If he can find some accuracy and complete a few passes, then Beechwood may get a quarter or so of hope. Beechwood's defense is not going to stop Highlands. Maybe Beechwood could get a score or two early and give their fans something to cheer about.

Not on the varsity level. Being a 1A school helps a lot with that. Beechwood wants to play those big schools and the bigger schools all want to play Beechwood. Just like Highlands this year.

However, on the freshman and JV levels, the 1A schools don't play Beechwood so there have been some challenges there in finding games. Two years ago Beechwood's freshman team had to play home and home with the 2A schools. Then of course last year the freshman team moved up and played in the big school freshman conference. This year the freshman are with the 2A schools plus Scott, Holmes and Cooper in the small division of the freshman conference. Hopefully that will last for a while. The JV team has to hunt for games. They have 3 games against Dixie and 2 against Highlands this year.

OK, I couldn't take seeing that goose egg in the poll any longer. I'm ok. No Dr. Phil. Just chalk me up as the biggest Beechwood fan.

I don't get the jv issue. Why do they not make them play whoever they played on friday night? It seems like it would take away that problem..
