I used to believe that as well and you can probably find multiple post of mine from the past that say the same thing. However this winter I asked Coach Mueller if he would allow me to come and observe their off season program. He graciously accepted and me and the other gentlemen I was with who has coached in several area programs were blown away. We came away with the belief that yes they do out work everyone and a ton of ideas and drills to use at the school we are coaching at. The level of intensity and movement (no breaks) the entire 3+ hours was mind blowing.

Nothing at all wrong with any of the programs you mentioned but lets be real. Trinity is also playing way better competition week in and week out than any of those schools, while still dominating.

Just curious, do other football programs allow kids to miss football practice for summer baseball?

How many kids are in the feeder schools these days? I know St. Mary's in Alexandria only had 1 or 2 boys in their 8th grade class.

My understanding is that it is a home and home deal and they will be playing in Alexandria next year.

I generally think of a rout as 30 points but I've seen some really dominating 14-0 or 21-0 wins that would be close to "routs". If you are a running team and score 21 points and only allow a couple 1st downs it's hard not to call it a rout.

I'm not from Trinity obviously but the link shows that they lost 2 games, one the the eventual state champion and one to the state runner up. I don't remember that X team very well but I believe that Bryan Station team had 2 or 3 guys that played in the NFL on their team. 2 losses against very good teams is a bad situation? Tough crowd
