NKYfootballfan91 thinks Highlands is only 2 TDs better than NCC and...

Featured Replies

that is only because of the heat. He said quote:

"I think NCC would have given HHS a better game Saturday. However, due to the heat and hhs's ability to play kids both ways, game ends somewhere around 35-21 HHS. HHS getting a late score to win by 2 tds."

Do you agree with him? I don't. I think he is on Planet NKYfootballfan91.

Thoughts?

I'd like some of whatever he's having. NCC is a really good 2A program but Highlands would run them off the field, they are too big, too fast and too deep.

Maybe we can call NKYfootballfan91 the Meg Ryan of BGP. :D

HHS would have their sophomore QB in by halftime. Not even close. 4 TD difference by halftime, and not in NCC's favor.

NCC is 21 points worse than CovCath who is, at least, 10 points worse than Highlands. No, I don't agree with him.

Already playing the CovCath sandbag card. LOL

^ And I would like to see someone taking a playing card, put the Colonels mascot on it, and put a couple of sandbags in the picture.

Anyone?

Ru is bored on a Thursday again.

Highlands is probably 24 points better than NCC, maybe more.

Not bored at all.

Most days I am stuck doing administrative mumbo jumbo and listening to people whine and make threats in email. I worked two shifts yesterday so I have some free time today.

Good old school reference.

By the way, that line was ad-libbed.

Come on now, guy still believes in Santy Claus. Give him a break.

I see NKYfootballfan91 is trying out his comedy act for us! A little advice - don't quit your day job! :ohbrother:

I may be one of the very few that saw both games for these two teams. A. NewCath isn't as bad as some people feel that they are this year. They have weapons and actually more depth than the past few years. However, they don't have the size and depth that they need to beat Highlands. B. Highlands has more athletes, better athletes at more positions, and NewCath didn't tackle well enough last week to stay in the game with Highlands. I put Highlands about 28 pts-35 pts better.

They are, however, in much better shape than UC and Highlands fans would drool over having Jack Sutkamp as their MLB or OLB. Jake Smith is exciting and, IMO, has passed Hayes from Highlands. He is bigger and just as quick and fast. Top 10 players v. top 10 players, it isn't as wide of a gap as one would suspect. It is the overall depth that would spell doom for NewCath. Too many TALENTED players, not just bodies filling spots, but talented bodies.

As for the CovCath reference, NewCath v. CovCath, with the exception of one or two, was always a stellar game and would have been this year as well.

Mex, I realize Sutkamp(Johnson elem)would be a great addition to the Birds D, but while folks are drooling...I'll say this NCC fans would drool over having Thomas Wrobleski (St. Thomas), Ryan Greene (St. Joe's), and Zach Harris (St. Catherine).

Disclaimer: I may be wrong on a couple of these elementary schools?

I agree that the depth issue would be way too much for NCC to overcome. I also disagree and think last year's NCC team was much deeper than this year's team. Unless NCC finds someone to catch Mac's passes, they will run into scoring difficulty, even with Smith in the backfield.

Competitive till half and then Highlands scores easily in second half while NCC struggles to play from behind. 28 point game.
