These threads always interest me. It is great to know what those "close to the program" think they know. Someone may want to inform Coach T and Hall that Coach T is no longer the primary O-line coach and Wayne is the man now. :lol2:

Wasn't it just last season that HHS coaches were being criticized for not playing guys both ways? Now this season the platoon system is back to being great again. I get confused with how fast things change.

My list is very 90's centric except for one but they are below. 1. James Quick - I've never seen a guy dominate KY high school football and make it look so easy. 2. Artie Steinmetz - I played a lot of football, against a lot of guys that went on to play in college. This guy was the most dominant player that I ever played against. No doubt in my mind that had he not been killed in an accident he would have been a NFL player. 3. Shaun Alexander - Right up there with Artie but I didn't lose the one on one battle so badly. 4. Justin Frisk - Still don't know if I've seen a smoother more fluid high school running back.

Are you really suggesting that parents should force kids to play a sport they don't like? I love high school football and would love for it to thrive forever but if my kid doesn't want to play, then that is his decision and his life to live.

I agree, Brossart needs several years of winning records to make sure the program builds a foundation and some tradition. Just 2 years ago they were playing a very difficult 2A schedule and the results nearly ending their program.

The real shame is that only 86 of them are getting D-1 interest.

I bought a Vizio a couple of years ago that matched my TV. It stopped working last night and just says format error. Nothing I can do will get it working again so I wouldn't recommend a Vizio.

Well I was looking forward to watching this game but I drew the short straw at work this year and have to work and it has been moved to 3pm. I think this game can go either way . I think being at home will help the Birds which is why I picked them but I think they are still the underdog and it will be an upset if they win.

Maybe, just maybe the Highlands coaches know what they are doing. The question is if CovCath couldn't get them this year, do they ever beat them again?

I've seen Ryle play every year since their existence and I honestly believe that Deion Mullens is the best all around high school football player they have had. He had a big impact at multiple positions on both sides of the ball.

I voted 3-1 because the CovCath game is on the road but I could easily see them going 4-0.

Community develpment work? Highlands is doing the same things they've always done, they still have the best youth league, they still have the best youth football camp, they still work as hard and effecient as ever. This notion that something needs to change is Highlands is crazy since they are doing the same things that made them the best program in KY not name Trinity the last 20 years. They are a very temporary down cycle with talent. This year's freshment class will win a State Championship before they graduate but the this year and next year will probably be rough. Oh and the coaches play the kids that are best at their positions. If a kid isn't getting in the game over someone that may appear less talented there is a reason. The kid who isn't playing probably can't be counted on to run the correct route, pick up the correct blocking assignment, etc., can the silliness about the HHS coaching staff stop.

Bryson Warner was a genius in 06 when he had Scott Gray, Vince Murray and Kris Pridgen and then again in 2010 when he had Hempfel, Mullens and Elliot. I guess time will tell how much of a Genius Engler is and how much the Raiders out work everyone when this couple of year run has graduated.

I love how guys become wise and sucessful coaches. Marksberry was at SK for 8 years with a .422 winning percentage before Chad Lawerence, Miles Simpson and a huge population growth came along. A under .500 coach for almost a decade including 1 and 2 win seasons is now wise and successful. He either had a very slow learning curve or some circumstances involving Jimmys and Joes changed.

It's definately coaching, I mean Bryson Warner beat Highlands and lost in the State Semi's to arguably one of the best Trinity teams ever while winning coach of the year. He was awful! Jimmys and Joes are up your coach of the year, Jimmys and Joes are down your fired.
