Bishop Brossart 2016

What does Bishop Brossard need to do to improve in 2016? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

That's a tough year to top, but just keep doing what got you there. Use the KISS method

The outgoing Senior class not only performed on the field, but also off the field. Per my sources, enthusiasm and a great comradery was built through inclusion of all players, Freshman through the Senior class. Kudos to Coach Wiggins and players on this atmosphere.

Seniors to be Jake Martin and Corey Quitter highlight the returning group. I'm eager to see what role Bryce Donnelly (Jr to be) will play with his speed and agility. A talented group of upcoming Sophomores return and although the team as a whole will be young, this group will role play well.

AS G and P said, tough act to follow, but the cupboards aren't empty. Good Luck Mustangs.

They playing a little tougher schedule next season?

It should be the same schedule just flip flop home and away. 2nd year of 2 year cycles coming up.

Once the contracts are up i would like to see BB add a few big games to help them get better. Wins look nice on paper but not all wins help a team improve for the post season.

Give Coach Code a $10,000 raise in hopes of keeing there for a longtime. Come on Mustang and TAC, another Raffle ought to get it done.

It was not Brossart's fault that the teams they played last year pretty much had down years. Now that did not help Brossart come playoff time but that is just the way it was. Kind of hard to find a couple of big games to schedule because those teams do not want to play an A school who is not good year after year. Beechwood, NCC, Lloyd, Holy Cross, Scott are not going to be interested......and we've seen those games before. No sense in trying to play Raceland, Fairview etc. since that district is your playoff opponent. Who would you suggest?

Why, so certain posters can add fuel to the demise of a program?Maybe offer suggestions of a tougher schedule to the one you support. This program is in the right track with the right coach.

I'm not sure where the notion is that they weren't "ready" for playoffs is coming from either. It's not like Raceland came down and just smacked them either. Final score of the game was 14-22, and if I remember correctly it came down to the very end. So its not as if they had not business being in the playoffs. They also beat Nicholas who nearly ended up beating Fairview.

I don't get where people are saying they need to step up their strength of schedule, where Brossart is currently at, it doesn't matter who they are beating as long as they are beating someone. This program done a great job of fighting back this year with a strong group of seniors, often times in high school sports, you've got what you've got. I see them taking a step back next season because of the massive loss of that senior class, it's just extremely hard to replace a group that large that done so much for them at any 1A school not named Beechwood. They will still be competitive and a winning season would not surprise me.

I agree, Brossart needs several years of winning records to make sure the program builds a foundation and some tradition. Just 2 years ago they were playing a very difficult 2A schedule and the results nearly ending their program.

8/19 A Dayton

8/26 H Cincinnati Aiken

9/2 H Bellevue

9/9 A Trimble County

9/23 A Nicholas County

9/30 H Ludlow

10/7 H Bracken County

10/14 H Paris

10/21 A Berea

10/28 H Pendleton County

Its Brossart, not Brossard.....come one man !

Hey Ram, its Brossart, not Brossard. And Oldercoach, Code has nothing to do with the football program whatsoever.
