  1. Campbell County has to be the favorite. They won the district last season when Ryle, Dixie and Boone were all better teams than they are this year. Simon Kenton is 3-0 against a schedule that is still trying to get it's way out of a wet paper bag and returns largely the same team that struggled to get first downs against the Camels last season.
  2. 7 Beechwood 5 Garrad Co 3 Campbell Co 2 Bracken Co 1 Bellevue TB Beechwood
  3. It's hard to tell with the Camels getting blasted by whay appears to be a very good Cov Cath team and then playing an Ohio school what they have. It sounds as if NCC is pretty beat up so I'm going to go with the Camels 24-17.
  4. I'm pulling for Cov Cath, I always pull for KY teams when playing an out of state team.
  5. Dale: "So I see you've been reading #DaleMuellerQuotes on Twitter."
  6. I'm going with the Wildcats 21-7.
  7. 7 Highlands 5 Cooper 3 Conner 2 Braken County 1 Newport TB Cooper
  8. I get that you're a big fan and can appreciate that, but the statement you made is not fitting with what the coaches were trying to do or how the game was called. They held their cards so close to their vest that they tried to go deep on the very first play. I don't know much about the Highlands way of thinking but I know with 100% certainty that they weren't trying to hold things back against T in order to hide things from Boyle.
  9. This statement is highly inaccurate, Highlands didn't hold anything back in that scrimmage. They may have ran a limited amount of plays because they couldn't get first downs but the playbook wasn't vanilla as to not show anything for Boyle. That's not the way Coach Mueller thinks at all.
  10. I understand that which is why this was my first post on the topic I sure hope this kid is a freshman if not you have in writing from the kids dad evidence of a "change in schools motivated in whole or part by a desire to participate in athletics at the new school." If he's not in high school yet or hasn't played varsity more power to them. Not knowing the kid or the situation I simply posted my hopes that a post on a message board wasn't going to cost a kid a year of football.
  11. No danger of a third hump but the motivation was pretty clear that it was at least in part motivated by athletics at the new school which is a violation of the transfer rule and would require him to sit out a year. Glad the kid is a freshman as my understanding he is exempt from the rule.
  12. 7 Rockcastle County 5 Cov Cath 3 NCC 2 Boone County 1 Walton Veriona TB Rockcastle County

  14. Durham wasn't playing QB when these two teams played last season. I don't think that would have changed the outcome but I don't think it would have been such a blow out because Campbell would have been able to move the ball and control the clock a little bit better. I think if the Camels have developed a passing attack the game could be close but even so it would be a big challenge to knock off the Colonels. I'll say CCHS 35-CCHS 21
  15. Lexington Catholic Central Lone Oak Boone County Lexington Christian
  16. Boone County Frankfort Covington Catholic Bryan Station Breathitt County Carroll County
  17. I think the Birds rebound and win 28-10.
  18. I left at half and I can't believe that there are 9 WR's ranked ahead of James Quick or that there are 12 teams better than T nationally. Trinity is the best high school team that I've ever seen and are clearly still on another level than the rest of the world. Good God.
  19. Closer than I thought, HHS is $4,600 without ADA contract and $2,100 with. NCC is $5,100 or $5,800 if you're not a parish member. Ft. Thomas Independent schools has ADA contracts with Several of the smaller districts in Campbell County and all of Kenton County schools though.
  20. Yes those schools have the same advantages which is why they have all won multiple state championships. Ryle on the other hand has a defined district and cannot accept tution based students so no advantage for them unless a parent is willing to buy a house in Union. Highlands and probably Beechwoods tution is also probably a quarter of what any of the area private schools is as well. I'm sure Dale Mueller would rather have 2000 boys to pick from and they would probably be even more dominant (scary thought) but its not like he's working with 300 random boys. Again nothing wrong with it, it's a good look if you can get it.
  21. HHS is definitely on the same level as Trinity. Trinity is on a very good run the last few years where they are in the nations elite but they are not year in and year out on a different level than HHS.
  22. The notion that HHS puts out this Spartan like effort with only 300 boys has been debated ad nauseum on this forum and I really don't feel like rehashing it again. HHS has a great program and draws from a much larger area than the 16 thousand or so people that live in Ft. Thomas. There is nothing wrong with that and more power to them but they are not this small little school that despite all adversity manage to still be successful. Any effort to paint them as such is disingenous at best IMO.
  23. The small enrollment argument just doesn't work for Highlands and their fans should really stop using it. The coaches and current players don't use it but I digress... Last year T was clearly on a different level not only from HHS but just about everyone in the country. They did graduate one of the better O-lines in the country and probably the best ever in KY so things may be a little different this year. Especially since I think HHS is going to have a great O-line themselves this year. I expect T to win the scrimmage for whatever that's worth but I think HHS has quite a bit more success this year than in last years scrimmage. Something like 28-17 if they do the 3 quarters format.
