I keep hearing Jim Bob Hicks name thrown around for this job since Justin Moore wasn't interested.

I think rotating it around is a more equitable solution. The 10th had the argument all those years that Mason had an unfair advantage by hosting every year. You're giving one of the stronger teams year in and year out one more advantage if PC hosts every year.

I didn't see too many "faithful" all season long at the games I attended. Numbers seemed to be down from day one.

Moore has been contacted by Fleming but is not interested from what I have heard. As for Hicks record, he's had some pretty good talent at Bath the past two seasons and his biggest win in the tournament so far was Rowan beating Menifee since he couldn't seem to beat Menifee this year. :popcorn:

Sets up another hotly contested district championship between these two rivals. Should be a good one.

I think we can safely assume that free throw improvement may be at the top of the list for Bourbon next season. They let this one get away. Great effort by both teams and nice comeback for the Indians. Now they get a healthy Clark County team. Not much of a prize. :ohbrother:

Hate this for coach Moore and the wildcats, they had a great year. Should be tough again next year.

Who exactly are the teams in the EKC now? One thing for certain is that no matter what school he's at in the 16th, Jim Hicks is a polarizing figure for certain.

Perry Central, Hazard, and Knott and my darkhorse upset speciel would be Estill who could win their district and has a short drive to Powell.

Boyd and Ashland will both have the pitching to contend, especially in a 2 or 3 game tournament. I think both are a year away from being really good though.

Would be a big upset for Bourbon to knock off the Indians. No way Paris beats Clark, and I'll take Clark by 15 in the finals.

I would agree that Greenup is the favorite but not by a large margin. Several teams could compete this year in the 16th.

I look for Estill to be strong and one of the favorites in the region. The Freeman kid is quite a player.

The 14th had at one time three teams in Cantrall's rankings although now they are on the cusp of being ranked. I think the 16th is weaker than the 14th from top to bottom.

Would not be shocked to see Hicks skip Bath for a bigger job if he can land one.

Who would have thought 5 years ago that the Menifee, Bath, Rowan, Fleming district would be so much stronger than the Ashland, Boyd, Rose Hill, Fairview district? Times they are a changing. :ohbrother:
