All of the above are good responses. Also, I have always felt if you fear getting hurt and play timid, you run a much higher risk of getting hurt.

Depending on how sloppy, (grass or turf) I've seen it slow down quick offenses and benefit weaker teams. Hopefully it has no impact on what the Dragons do. If we can hold on to the football, we should have success running the ball. Running the ball is what we do best. :ylsuper:

I think they realize his contribution and importance to the team and don't want the other kids to quit because he's out. It does seem that way sometimes though. :confused:

I remember a game earlier this season on national television and Ohio was playing a national power (I can't remember the team) and heard Renfro's name several times. It finally clicked in my memory and I fugured out it was Lee from Southwestern. He was a hoss and was all over the field making tackles from the LB position. :ylsuper:

It is certainly not my intention to sound negative about our guys. I have been dis-appointed several times this year by play calling and those calls were not the kids fault. I hope they put up 50 or more points! Maybe the potential is there to do that vs Jenkins. I'd like to see #26 punch one in from the red zone also. :ylsuper: He deserves it. Seems like a lifetime ago. I was a 13 year old kid then. Culley would not let all freshman dress so I was on the bus but did not even wear a coat. It was extremely cold and I about froze to death. I remember that much and riding a charter bus and David Hensley running all over Lincoln County. We never could beat Danville and it was our own fault! Back to the future..... I think Harlan will win over Jenkins but by a slim margin. We just don't have the ability to put up a bunch of points. As many have said, these guys are to be commended for playing the hand dealt. I'm proud of all of them. I do feel for the Seniors of this and last years teams. I hope they enjoy(ed) HS football. They may play a few post season games.:thumb: Some of the best memories of my life and I know Outlaw could say the same. There, my longest post yet.

I'm not sure it will be easy given the performance at Williamsburg. I thought they went through the motions and expected to lose at W'Burg. :irked:They should beat Jenkins but I believe it will be close. 21 - 13.

A bit early to forecast the end of season record with the W'burg game tonight. Although your forecasts are probably accurate, I think tonight's performance will determine how well the Dragons play against Jenkins. The Dragons continue to improve and develop confidence every week. They must have everyone healthy to finish strong. I'll chime back in after tonight's game.

I have no idea what he has said. No doubt he is OUTSPOKEN to say the least. IMO, all the more reason to take it to the field. :thumb:

Also, as an outsider looking in, why not play? These two teams playing is what HS football is all about. Talk, Hype, Rivalry, Excitement, 2 powerhouse teams, Bragging rights, Gate $ etc. I am yet to read any legitimate reason for not playing. I would drive to either place to watch as would many others. Play the game!

Not sure about the stripers, but I understand the LM & SM are very active. Funny you should ask, my son is a Dragon and I will miss Friday night's game because our bass club is holding it's fish-off on Norris that same night. I am absolutely torn up! But decided to fish. Hoping for 2 wins Friday night! Do you know of any radio station in the Burg area that may carry this game that a fellow could pick up on Norris?
