Sheldon Clark would cut their right leg off to beat Belfry on any given year. The year they get rainy weather that would certainly play to their advantage playing at home, they decide to install turf.

Raceland's offense is very diverse. We run the spread offense, but run wishbone, power I, wing T variations as well as pass the ball. I feel the slippery conditions still favor a passing team. The QB and receiver know the play and route, leaving the defensive back to react with quick footwork, causing slips and falls. This I believe favors the offense, but you still have to execute.

Not my team but I would think that Fern Creek benefits from a sloppy field against Male/

Depending on how sloppy, (grass or turf) I've seen it slow down quick offenses and benefit weaker teams. Hopefully it has no impact on what the Dragons do. If we can hold on to the football, we should have success running the ball. Running the ball is what we do best. :ylsuper:

I think that teams that are primarily ground attacks would benifit from wet weather. Teams that are more partial to throwing the ball would have a tougher time. I don't think that rain would stop passing but it makes it tougher to grip the ball, both throwing and catching, but recievers would have the benifit of knowing where they are going in their routes while defenders would have to adjust and making those quick adjustments is tougher on a wet field, but given the choice If I run the ball I like the rain better, than if I am throwing the ball.

 

The bioggest losers if it rains Friday night, may be th fans, they won't come out and watch some good games in the rain, and if they do, they won't see some teams at their best due to rainey weather.

The Newport / Holy Cross game is being played ay Holmes so it could be interesting to see if the game gets played or not.

I would have to say Definately! The Falcons throw as much as they run and we are facing a true run team tonight...I hope the rain lets up at game time because this may play in our favor if it does. If it does not we could be in for a long night!!!
