Lee Renfro is a starting LB for the Ohio Bobcats.. Watched him play on T.V. last nite... Mike Mitchell from Highlands is a starting safety for Ohio also..

That is what originally got this thread started. I say Ohio playing last night, didn't get to watch the game, but remebered Lee heading up there after high school.

My brother-in-law told me that Flannery tried to walk on at UK out of high school. He ended up transfering to Morehead St. and he plays special teams for them.

I remember a game earlier this season on national television and Ohio was playing a national power (I can't remember the team) and heard Renfro's name several times. It finally clicked in my memory and I fugured out it was Lee from Southwestern. He was a hoss and was all over the field making tackles from the LB position. :ylsuper:

I think these are all correct.

Nick Jamerson - Prestonsburg- Plays at Pikeville College, has had a pretty successful career there as a WR. He also travels around the state playing guitar and singing, pretty talented kid.

 

Lee Renfro - Southwestern- Ohio U as mentioned...

 

Doug Howard - Belfry- Played a year at Pikeville...injured his back and quit football. Rumors were last year that he was conditioning and trying to walk-on at Marshall, I don't know how that ever panned out.

 

Sam Reid - Nicholas Co.

Thomas Flannery - West Carter

 

Justin Haddix - Breathitt Co.- Enjoyed a successful career at WKU as the QB.

 

Jacob Hundley - Breathitt Co.- Spent time at both Pikeville College and EKU.. never really got to have a major impact.

Durrell Ollinger - Hazard- Isn't this the same Olinger who wound up going to Cincinnatti and had a very successfull career as a WR?

 

Malachi Maxwell - Madison Southern- Had him in a couple classes at EKU, if I recall he was walking-on with the football team but never got to see much PT.
