Watts out at McCreary

Featured Replies

I just heard from a family member that Watts had some really bad muscle damage in his arm and will also probably have to have some skin graphs done to his arm which means he will be out for 5-7 months. We all will be praying for a much quicker recovery for this young man.

Whats the story on this? How'd he get the damage? Regardless my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Will this effect basketball season?

I guess a lot of teams are breathing a sigh of relief...nice to know everyone is thinking about his health and not how this will affect their basketball season....

Just asked the simple question, no reason to draw conclusions. He is one of my favorite players to watch in the state and I wanted to know if the injury would effect his basketball season.

Terrible news for the young man. Hope it turns out not to be that bad. Bronco if you can keep us posted. He is heck of an athlete.

..Didn't mean to jump to conclusions. It just seems that people are already counting him and the Raiders out for the season. It's sad when people get excited about other people's misfortunes. I heard from a family friend that he was going into surgery sometime this morning for extensive reconstructive surgery and that he would be out a couple of months for physical therapy. Hopefully this is true and he'll make a speedy recovery.

How did he receive this injury?

Ive not seen him play football, but heard he is very good. Ive also been very impressed with him on the basketball court. I hope he is able to play this school year. If not I hope he has a full recovery and will play again soon!

I watch a whole of high school sports, and Watts is one of the best athletes in the state. I think he is a future D1 basketball player. Heck, or any other sport he wants to play. The real deal. I wish him a speedy recovery.

He was playing basketball at a local gym and after dunking a ball his momentum took him into a glass door which broke and cut his upper arm very deep and took a huge chunk from his forearm. It was so bad they air-lifted him to UT Medical Center. Right now it looks like he will be out maybe the rest of the school year as far as sports go. The biggest thing is it is not life threatening and he will play sports again. Aaron is a fine young man and we all hate to see this kind of thing happen to him or any other athlete. Please pray for his speady recovery because we all know the Lord works in powerfull ways!

I assume this just recently happened? What an awful way to get injured.

It happened last night! Also, i just heard he is out of surgery and will not have to do any reconstruction. He still will probably have to have some skin graphs which may take a couple months to complete and then rehab! With any luck he won't have to have the skin graphs either or maybe just one and that will speed his recovery up. Keep praying because it is some powerfull stuff!

That sounds really nasty. Best wishes on a speedy recovery, Aaron. :thumb:

Watts recovers from injuries very quickly. From what I understand, it tore some of the muscle in one of his arms. He may miss the early part of the basketball season, but Watts is a fighter and he will be back determined.
