Watts out at McCreary

Featured Replies

It's a terrible shame what has happened to that boy. I've seen what you all from McCreary County have been saying about him on here and I had not had the chance to see him until Rockcastle played them last week. The extra points conversion that he threw across his body to the other side of the field and completed impressed me as much as anything he did that night. It was like a shortstop in baseball throwing to first! That boy is the real deal and one heck of an athlete. He'll be a D1 player in my opinion if he decides to go to college and play football but I've heard more about his baseball than his basketball or football at Rockcastle. They say he is a tough cat to clean up after. Good luck with the recooperation and we at the Rock will be rooting and praying for his return to sports, especially by playoff time.

He is probably the best athlete in your whole region. As others have said, "our thoughts and prayers will be for a very speedy recovery".

I am glad to see the positive news after surgury. When a young man is injured seriously as Watts was, sports pales in comparision.

Best Wishes for a speedy recovery!!!!!!

I just got back from the hospital and Aaron is doing great. he is in very good spirits and ready to come home. They said he should be home tomorrow and Aaron plans on making the trip to Pineville to support his team. In my opinion that is what true athletes and leaders do. He should start his rehab sometime mid to late week next week! We (the coaches) have told him to take it slow and easy and make sure he heals properly because he still has his entire future to play whatever sport he wants and the rest of this football season means nothing compared to his 100% health. We are not worried about football games we are worried about Aarons well being. Besides, we have 45 other players and several very good athletes and we are capable of winning games with those 45 players. I have said this before and now it is time for those 45 players to prove me right. Thanks again on the behalf of Aaron and his family for all the prayers and support. Good luck to everyone this Friday!

Hate to hear this about the Watts. I've got the chance to know him. Hes a great kid on and off the playing field. Good luck on a speedy recovery. Let him know were thinking about him Bronco. Fatman and family.

Get well son. The Nation wishes you the best.:thumb:

The last I heard was 8 weeks of rehab. That is coming from his coaches who went to see him last night.

I am looking forward to seeing him recover and hopefully get back in the gym. Prayers from Somerset for a quick recovery.

I wish a speedy recovery to Aaron who is a dominant athlete in 3 sports. I bet Rob Jones had to be sedated when he heard about Aaron's injury.

Even though it's not a joking matter, I thought the same thing.

Anyone heard any more news about Aaron?

Was it his left arm or right arm that was hurt?

I thank God that its going to be a few weeks until hes back, rather than a few months as first reported. Prayers work.

I have been around sports a long time, and I have seen teams lose one of their better players and people think the season will head down the drain but in reality the opposite occurs. Several teammates step it up a notch and the team gets better as a result.

I wish the raiders luck the rest of the season, but as stated above whats really important is Aarons health. We at SW will continue to pray for his speedy recovery.

It was his right arm!

He came home today after his family took him shoping (that always brightens a teenagers day!) He is suppose to start physical therapy next week so I am sure he will be back in the cometition mode as quickly as he can. He told me that he wanted to start doing dot drills and running the track so he didn't lose his legs. I hope other young people will learn from this, even as good as an athlete that Aaron is what makes him speacial is that he doesn't rely on just his ability. He builds on his ability through hard work and determination and that is why this injury won't keep him down for long.

Glad he is home and the out look is good. Prayers and angels from Clark Co.
