He was playing basketball at a local gym and after dunking a ball his momentum took him into a glass door which broke and cut his upper arm very deep and took a huge chunk from his forearm. It was so bad they air-lifted him to UT Medical Center. Right now it looks like he will be out maybe the rest of the school year as far as sports go. The biggest thing is it is not life threatening and he will play sports again. Aaron is a fine young man and we all hate to see this kind of thing happen to him or any other athlete. Please pray for his speady recovery because we all know the Lord works in powerfull ways!

I have watched this young man as he has played against Williamsburg in football and baseball. He is a wonderful talent. Often challenges enter our lives with seemingly no rhyme or reason. My thoughts and prayers are with this young man not only for healing but to find purpose in this injury.

This is just terrible news.

Southwestern sends its prayers to him for a speedy recovery. He is an outstanding athlete and a nice kid. I have enjoyed watching him grow up in athletics.

I hope its his left arm because he is right handed, and maybe that would allow him to get back into action quicker.

Great news. I was just told by Aarons family that everything went as planned and all of his injuries have been stiched up to perfection and he will not need any skin graphs at all. The Doctor said he will be ready to participate in athletics in 4-6 weeks if everything goes right. They said that Aaron said he would play in the playoff game and the doctors said he should be ready by then. If not, that's ok because the main thing is he will recover quickly and get back to doing what he does best.......compete! Thank you all for all your prayers the McCreary athletic community, the family and Aaron appreciates them all! Remember, the Lord tells us that he will not put on us more than we can bare! Also remember that what dosen't kill us will only make us stronger!

Aaron is a very lucky kid. He may go through some of the toughest injuries and heals like magic. I'm thankful that everything is okay with him and wish him the best the remainder of his recovery.

My thoughts and prayers are with him. Is he a junior or senior? Hope he makes a fast recovery.

He is in our thoughts and prayers and we hope he has a speedy recovery!!!

Thoughts and prayers from Bell Co. Watts is a great athlete, one of the best in our district. We will miss getting the opportunity to see him play next week when McCreary comes to Log Mountain.

Hate to hear this, hope he recovers quickly.
