Coach Matney doesn't own the property.

As has been stated before. Yes the family lived in the house that was on the waiver. The new address is within the school district. Its actually about 2 miles from the highschool.

The move wasnt just for athletices. As has been stated before it was to move closer to family. The young man happened to excell well in the sport of wrestling. And Johnson Central was the CLOSEST school to BELFRY that has a well established wrestling program. Whose to blame him for not wanting to continue a career in wrestling?

As has been stated before nothing illegall has happened. Coach Matney accepted the two game suspension due to the fact tha he figured why waste his time fighting it. You cant win against the KHSAA. We've tried it. They do what they want whether its justice or not! And your wrong once more. The Family moved into some appartments after the house flooded. The house was prevousily owned by Matney. But was Sold on a land contract to a long time friend of they family. The address turned in on the wavier form was in no way Matney's address.

I wasnt going to post on this, but I have a theroy. Maybe the people of Johnson Central would like what happened at Johnson Central to stay in Johnson County. It's already been publicized enough. Have you ever thought the student, his family, and friends of the family would appreciate it not being brought back up? I mean they've already been through enough. Trust me. How would you feel if your child, sibling, or self, for that mattter, got a taste of sometime. Then out of no where had it took from them/you over something they/you had no control over. So I would appreciate if the story wasn't brought back up on this website. Thank you.

For the info I have The player is a sophomore and starts on the DL. The first day of practice the player got a wavier that allowed him to play in the 07 season. The KHSAA got a call in the month of September and were told that the player and his family were not currently residents of Johnson County. Although it would be kinda hard to make the four hour trip from McCreary County to Johnson County everyday. I know for a fact that the Player and his family ARE residents of the county. so it shouldn't be a problem taking care of the matter. The player, his family, and coach Matney with the support of the county are attempting to get an appeal. He should be back in uniform by Friday.
