The Dragons are so thin that they can't afford to lose anyone! Even one additional decent football player could make a difference. It's hard to watch most of these guys play both ways with no breaks. I know it is part of playing football at a small school. Even "back in the day" a lot of guys played O and D. I know how hard that is. Cloud could have been a dandy HDE but he lost interest for some reason. Go figure.:confused:

Fields is one I had in mind QB/Receiver type, Cloud 6'3" 275 lineman (played last year) and Frazier 6'4" 185 (B-Ball) end/receiver type. "Great"? Well, maybe you got me on that one. I only know of a few transfers Mama Bear. That was their personal choice. Good luck to them. I'll agree that 3 sports is tougher than it used to be. Seems a lot play 2 now days.

:thumb: There are even more Bayshore. I'll have names later. It is very frustrating that they don't play. I know that there are a few that played last year and did not come out this year. Does coach go after these guys? What's the problem? :irked:

They are definately the "Behind the Scenes" heroes. My wife knows the game as well as I do. It's amazing. She could coach!

I really have no argument about A's playing out of their class. It's 11 on 11 regardless of class. Depth is the Dragons BIG problem this year. Most of the guys play both ways. I do think it is sad that there are some great athletes @ Harlan that play only one sport. These kids could have made a difference on the football field. Fact is, the middle school football teams have real good numbers. Will they play football at the next level? Who knows.

Thanks HDE. Your comments are always fair and true. I also agree with most of what BP and BD said. These guys played to their best ability and showed a lot of heart vs. Lee. I know all of these kids very well, especially one of them. He is truly a WARRIOR. The schedule will be a little more in their favor in the coming weeks. Hopefully, they can pull off a couple of W's this year. They certainly deserve it. Like you said, (A) schools have up and down years. The future does look bright. :thumb:

He had a good game. Lots of speed. Most of their success came from around the ends. Harlan bottled them up pretty good in the middle. A few nice passing plays that should have been defended but Harlan had some blown coverages. The QB is pretty mobile. Your DB's must play assignment.

I think a bye week can throw off the rhythm of a winning team before the playoffs but can help a weaker team that made it with more preparation time. It should probably be right in the middle of the season to provide a little break that players need and deserve. :thumb:

:ylsuper: I'm sure I read about Larkey's expectations somewhere today.

I certainly understand the need for consolidation. But, among other things, you do lose the cross town rival games and have to travel to find teams that are willing to play. I have watched Lynn Camp develop into a very good football program over the years. I think this game will be a little closer than some expect. Both teams should match up very well when both teams have their best 11 on the field. I expect a good game through 4 quarters with HC pulling away late by 2 or 3 touchdowns.

Maybe I should make this statement in a different thread. But, I think it is harder to be a parent/fan than it was playing. At least you could do something with all of the energy and excitement. Can't hardly focus on the job. I thing Fridays during football season should be included in a 3 day weekend. WHOOOOO!!!!!!!

It will be a very wild and exciting atmosphere over there Friday night. I think it will be a low scoring game. It usually takes offenses a few games to adjust and figure things out. Bears by 6 with a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. :thumb:
