I was able to see Lawrence County play the first game today, but had to get back to work this evening, but wanted to say that I am very Proud of the Bulldogs. They were very impressive against Catholic and sounds like they held their own in the Finals tonight. Keeton will be missed as well as all of the Seniors that he groomed. Congatulations on a great season Bulldogs.

Lawrence county is on a roll right now.

No one said they wasnt, but not near as good as some of the past 16th region teams represented in the state tournament. But the 14th region is not this year either.

Hate to tell you, but you are really off on your assumptions. Just a observer of a baseball game, with no interest to me but watching good baseball. Both teams decent, but definetly not the normal 16th region team of the past. Call it how you want, but the proof is in the pudding.

Estill or Hazard should win the Region.

Being at Applebees for one year, or even two in a row doesnt make you a king of the Region. Win a title then you have bragging rights for a while. I do however believe that Greenup is on the upswing by hiring Logan. He is a classy coach that will make good things happen, possibly even a title eventually.

I was at the game before the rain, so I got to see about 6 innings of baseball, and both teams were pitching their aces. Both teams were decent but not as good or as strong as the past. When I left it was pouring of rain, and the game should have been called and I assumed it would be, but was surprised to see that the Umps let them finish this game, especially as important as the game was. I still say LC is much better and think the 16th Region will have a hard time advancing at the State Level.

I guess that is why he tagged him on the butt while he was head first on the ground.:thumb:

I personally think the 15th Region would tear the 16th Region up after watching the semi-finals of the 16th last night. Greenup's pitcher looked good, but Boyd's Pitcher allowed less hits in my mind. Boyd looked very young and a fan in the stands said they started a few Freshmen. I believe they said Greenup was a bit young as well, so that might be the reason as well. Lawrence County would have their way with any of these teams that played last night.

In no way was it the right call. I am not partial in the decision, I just came to the game with my friend from Morehead to watch some good baseball last night and I arrived and sit down directly before that play happened. In no way was it the right call. The player was safe by a mile. I know nothing about the Ump that was doing the game, but looked a little rocky behind the plate after that as well. How long has he been umping? Russell did look better then their record showed though.

Pigskin season creates a much larger crowd at JC.

Would have been a good win for JC if they could have pulled this one off. JC needs to get back on track Monday night.

Hazard struggled the whole game in this one.

Score was a bit of a surprise. What is going on at Boyd?

I was personally told that Raceland got screwed by some calls when they traveled South down RT23, but cant answer for the other games. Along with that I believe Raceland has some of the most avid fans in the 14th, 15th or 16th Region on BGPreps and never whine about a loss. If anything that go out of their way to congratulate the other teams. If all school districts had the fans like Raceland did, then all schools would be happy. I will have to say that Raceland is second to our Golden Eagle fans though, but still very supportive.

From what I have seen, Racelands Manager seems to be doing a pretty good job for the years that he has been with the Program. Everyone has their down years, no matter what school you are with.

I dont understand where this reply came from. I try to keep up on all the area schools in the 14th-16th Region and I really dont understand why you keep trying to explain your situation to everyone. I got on this forum to see who is going to get the call as Head man in charge of the team. I dont even know which kids are yours but have seen your posts over and over about pleading to why you are leaving and even talking about it in this case, to which wasnt even referring to your family. I will say though that I noticed previously that you stated that your Son was staying till he graduates, but seems that might not be true now. Good luck to your family, and if you feel your move is the best for your family, then quit talking about it and explaining it.

It was a good game. That Shephard kid is going to be something special. Someone in the bleachers stated he is only a freshman as well. Nice looking athlete.

Breathitt is going to be a solid team next year. Would love to see Hazard step it up.

Such issues. Pretty sad when someone cant even open a general question forum thread. I do not know your situation and actually dont really care, but from looking outside in, I understood your point of taking care of you kids, but you just seem to be going on and on about it, which tells a lot of people it is beyond the kids. I dont even know who you are or who your kids are, and I wish all of you well, but as a fan of the 14th-16th region, I would like to read a forum without argument of Rose Hill.
