This thread is amazing. You guys cant seem to get along at Rose Hill in anything. First it is boys basketball turmoil and now it is girls basketball turmoil. Just run a good clean program and the ones that want to play will play and the ones that want to go will go. Dont stand in the way of any of them wanting to go (Especially if they are good and want to come South on Rt 23 and play:thumb:LOL). I think sometimes everyone just tries to hard to build a program, when sometimes the program will built itself with honesty and time. Some parents get too rapped up in their child and are going to feel like other places are the best for them, let them go. Those types of parents will have the same problems at the next school and you wont have to deal with them. Rose Hill seems to be a quality school, but sounds like it needs a good sports administrator to get things lined out. Good luck this upcoming season.

Good to see you protect your school and its beliefs in education and fundamentals, but have always wanted to know something. My wife is part of the governors cup committee of testing and came to your area to do some of the testing, but we were surprised that all schools in the area have academic teams, with exception of Rose Hill. There was probably 20 or so middle schools in the middle school division and no Rose Hill in it either. I am not familiar with your area to know if all the middle schools were in it, but I would say they were due to a large number of attendance. Not picking on your comment, just think if you have kids in middle school age that this would concern me and you really ought to focus on getting a academic team started. If the school needs help with that, I could get you some help for that. Take care.

I dont know enough about that to comment on that. Not too much talk about Rose Hill in my area, other than their skill.

I dont know the family or the situation, but someone did post on another forum that Jackson lived with Euton, or that the Eutons was legal guardians of Jackson, so that would be a good reason for him to leave as well. Plus, wasnt his family from Lexington originally. I know his older brother played in a game a few years back against Hazard that I saw while he was with Bryan Station.

LRCW, I believe he is just stating that everyone in the Ashland area believes there were jobs to be had, and probably was offered a job from someone in the school system to stay, but with the ability to move, makes his Son a stronger ballplayer. No one will second guess that decision, they would do the same.

For some that say that Euton is overrated, probably ought to realize he just got #115 post on this website covering his relocation in 6 hours, so he must be a pretty good player. Thats a post every 3 minutes, pretty impressive. Everyone needs to just leave the young man alone, just leave him and his family alone and wish them the best. Especially if you are a RH hater, dont bash the family and kid, just be happy now, you got your wish. I would still love to see some of the players head this way down Rt 23.

I believe someone stated on another forum that Mr Euton has been without a job thru out the whole season. Would it had made him a better person if he would have left then? As well, if he can get a better job somewhere else and his son can better himself, then I am sure they are not too tore up about it.

You are correct is stating that I did not watch the first game. Would have been a closer drive for me from Paintsville though. The only problem with your statement though was the word "push". The only question I have for that is, was the foul called after the "push"? I also dont recall the score, but Rose Hill won that game you are speaking of as well, so maybe that is why they went to the triple team this time.

I have seen too many kids transfer and people bash the parent and the players, and I think the only way you can justify bashing the parent and the player is if they leave because of being mad of something foolish, and this does not seem to be that case. They seemed to be loved by their school and community and are leaving to better themselves, and I dont think anyone can blame them. Honestly, Jackson and Euton needs to play at a higher profile school with a veteran staff to mature anymore as a player. It as well sounds like Fraley might end up back at his alma mater coaching and I believe his style will be better fit there and he will be able to lead solid teams there in that style. If any of the younger group kids decide to leave, I believe they would make a good fit with the 8th grade Johnson county group. That would make a very solid group for next year.

From the posts you guys have posted, sounds like Rose Hill ought to be like the NBA has done and make a certain grade or age before they can transfer. The NBA makes kids go to one year of college, maybe Rose Hill ought to make the parents of their players sign a similar contract. When OJ left did it affect the younger grades as well? Does your star leaving make the younger groups split as well?

I am sorry but Faulkner did not handle Euton, it was Faulkner, Knipp and whatever Forward was on the side of the paint at the time, and if you believe differently, then you didnt watch the game. Did Faulkner play hard and do the best he could, yes, but absolutely did not handle Euton. The only person that shut Euton down was his Coach.

I still have a hard time believing this rumor, and no one from the school you are speaking of has posted anything, so I feel there is still no truth to it, but by the sounds of your posts, this must have happened before or often.

How would this save a player eligibility? Just rumors I am sure. Although I did see some players in the Rose Hill-Elliott county game that could be used in Johnson County. Do any of those players play Football?

Not exactly sure what players or what school you are referring to but I really dont see this happening. I cant imagine a player or two leaving school this late in the school year.

I have seen both teams play this year, of course I have seen Hazard about 4 times, but I think Hazard is about 10 pts better.

This game was a good game to watch, but Paintsville was just too much. I only got to watch the Championship game of the Region, but Grimm was well deserving on the MVP.

Sounds like a tough game for both teams. I chose to go see Elliott/Rose Hill with a friend last night and sounds like I missed a dandy. Both teams are quality teams and have had a good season.

I agree as well that the Davis kid for Rose Hill seem to be a factor at the beginning of the game, then was benched for a while. At the same point Elliott Counties coach did the same to Knipp in the second half. Not sure about either one of those coaching moves.
