  1. SK is dangerous when they play together as a team like they did last night! Fun to watch!
  2. Dorian Henry from Mason County. Kid can do it all. Love watching him play.
  3. I don't have a dog in the fight. I've been to a couple Ryle games. There's no need to sugar coat it. The coaching (or lack of) is just VERY bad. They have some good players. They should be playing much better. I know a lot of people didn't like the former coach, but she did much better.
  4. Mullins looked really good for SK. Gallatin County had no answer for him. I will say Becham was a nice player for Gallatin. Looks like Gallatin may have to go through him each game.
  5. Walton played really well. I look for this team to continue to improve throughout the season. They have a good coach, and a lot of kids that work very hard.
  6. Exactly right. Butt and Fitzgerald are two year hold backs. I believe they started school late. Both are already 16 years old in the 9th grade. Glad to see they are playing varsity and doing well. Both are good kids. Wish them well this season.
  7. 20 three's in a game by one player is just ridiculous. That usually sets up fast breaks for the opposing team on long rebounds.
  8. Congrats to my SK girls. First time I got to see them this year. Wow they are very, very young. The pipeline is looking very good for quite a while. First time seeing Niece in a SK uniform. She struggled the first half with several turnovers, but settled down the second half and played very well. I look for her to mature into a very nice player. I believe they are going to grow and get so much better throughout the season. It is going to be fun watching this team for the next four years. As for Ryle, I thought they had some talented girls, but were not under control. They fouled like crazy, turned the ball over like crazy, and got very winded early. They seemed to be a more mature team with lots of juniors on their roster. I expected much more from them. I actually thought this would be a very tight game. For them to get beat by almost 30 was very surprising to me. Good luck to both teams as they move forward.
  9. I have no box score, but I must say I'm surprised in the margin of victory. Grant must be pretty good. Any details on Grant County team this year? Can they compete for an 8th region title?
  10. Heard Cooper played really well even without their football players. Heard the Kuckle kid his been playing very well at the point. Saturday they have NCC. Should be a good test for them early in the season. If the football players play that should add some depth to their bench.
  11. Ben had a great game! He is a very well rounded player. Fun to watch. NCC is so solid. In my opinion they are the team to beat in NKY. Hear they have Cooper on Saturday. Will be a good test for Cooper.
  12. I knew this would be a good game. As some said it's early in the season. Both teams are going to be tough. Would like to see Bolden get going, seems to be off to a slow start. Part of that is everyone is so focused on stopping him makes it hard for him to score. Still a very good player!
  13. Nice early game back for returning Deja Turner!! Keep it up girl! Holy Cross is the team to beat in the 9th. Highlands, and Holmes will also be tough! Should make for some great games this year!!
  14. Wow. High scoring! Not sure if it was great offense or bad defense, but a lot of points!
  15. I'm going with SK by 10. Coach Stowers has them ready!!!!
  16. They will be young, but I believe by the end of the year they will surprise a few teams.
  17. Ally Niece is a nice player. She will help SK this year for sure. With that being said SK has a lot of good players. Coach Stowers will have them getting after people on defense. The kids always play very hard for him.
  18. You are correct. There are several that are already 15 years old. Two year hold backs.
  19. Would be awesome to have boys and girls championship double header next year. Girls game first.
  20. Ruthsatz 2pt 168-381 44.1%, 3pt 59-162 36.4%, Ft 134-175 76.6%, Rebounds 100 4.2 per game Hatton 2pt 155-349 44%, 3pt 73-175 41.7%, Ft 134-163 82.2%, Rebounds 63 2.7 per game Here are the stats off KHSAA website. Seems to me offensively they are very similar. However I would have thought Hatton would have more rebounds? The KHSAA website does not show assist's but I would guess that Ruthsatz has more than either Bolden or Hatton There were no stats on Bolden but he takes his fair share of shots also. Ruthsatz also plays defense, just as had as he plays Offense. Last I checked the best player on your team was suppose to take the most shots.
  21. I have seen them all play several times. I would have them in this order. 1-Ruthsatz (most complete player offense and defense) 2-Bolden 3-Hatton I totally disagree with Ruthsatz being selfish. Please don't act like Bolden and Hatton don't get their fair share of shots up per game. I would say they both shot as much, or more shots and have less assists per game. All three of these players are very good, and should be taking the majority of shots on their team.
  22. Really great crowd considering the weather. Games had a regional tournament feel atmosphere. Student sections were great. Gate price was fair. Good concession food. I believe last night was a win for everyone. Players got to play in front of a great crowd on a college floor. Fans had plenty of room for comfortable seating, and plenty of parking. And I would say NKU made some money also. My guess is that was a larger crowd than they have had there all season for any the girls or boys NKU teams. I personally would love to see 4 or 5 of these Friday night double headers set up next year with top ranked teams. My son and I really enjoyed ourselves last night.
  23. I have watched Ruthsatz play twice this year, Hatton play twice this year, and Bolden three times this year. IMO Ruthsatz is the most well rounded of all three. Ruthsatz would be my number. Ruthsatz Plays very good defense (every possession) Handles the ball extremely well (can go right or left) Can get to the rim Can shoot outside Excellent passer (always has a lot of assists, makes all his teamates better) I don't see Hatton or Bolden as being as well rounded, not saying they are not great high school players, just not as good of overall game
