I think Rabe hit a 3 early in the 3rd and Dixie didn't score again until about 6 or 7 minutes left in the game.

The 3 big 3 are legit. Those are 3 very talented players. The 2-man game that Pangallo and McDonald play is very impressive. You don't see that very often.

 

Weyer showed what many have been saying. Can play inside and out. Hits the 3. Blocks shots.

 

Give Bolin from Dixie credit. He really made Drew work for anything inside. He is LONG.

Rabe ran a nice point tonight against some really tough pressure. He battled all night.

 

He has to get help.

Isbell fouled out tonight and hardly anyone in the gym knew it.

I went early to catch the JV game to see the young NCC boys. Hall is going to be a nice player. I can see from his body how he would dominate 8th grade ball. Has a nice shot. Strong. A little out of control in the JV game but you can certainly see he is skilled.

Tale of 2 halves. Dixie came out with much more intensity, but missed 4 or 5 point blank shots. While the Breds looked a little "out of sync". Near the end of the 1st quarter, NewCath's Ben Weyer came down HARD on his head after being under-cut on a rebound (one of the nastiest you will EVER see!!!). He was taken to the locker room. but would return later.

 

The 2nd half the Breds looked like a team possessed (or Coach Dawn gave an inspiring halftime talk;)). Ben Weyer came out "on fire" going for 14 of his 18 pts. and had at least 4 blocks. Pangallo with some steals and beautiful "dimes", including one to Weyer on a dunk and one to McDonald that was a thing of beauty on the lay in by Drew. Jr. "sharp-shooter" John Ludwig, who nailed about 5 treys in the JV contest, connected from "way downtown" in this one. Also, Fr. Brennan Hall in the closing minutes with a nice drive to the hoop, and one.

 

For Dixie, Liam Rabe was the only real threat to score, young man has a nice touch. It was fun to watch him and Pangallo go back and forth (competitive jawing) after buckets on each other.

Funniest comment of the night........after Ben Weyer hit a trey, a voice from the stands says, "he shoots like his uncle". :stop::lol2:

This one only counted for two, but the crowd loved it.
