Michaela Ware drives the lane and drops a lay-up has the horn sounds for the game winner.

No video, but should have a photo from about 3ft away.

Although with my luck it'll be out of focus.

Wow another nail biter that goes down to the final second in overtime! For the third game in a row Ncc is down at half. (21 to 18) Notre Dame had a four to six point lead for most of the second half, then with 4 and half minutes to go in regulation they try to take the air out of the ball. Ncc turns up the pressure and slowly chips away at the lead until it is tied under a minute to go. Both teams had chances to score but neither could put up any more points until overtime. (Tied at 44). It goes to over time and Notre Dame scores the first two points, that proved to be the last points scored for this season. Ncc ties it up under two minutes to go, and Ware hits a lay up as time expires in overtime to bring home the gold! Once again it is "survive and advance" to earn a trip to WKU. Oh my it doesn't get any easier because they will face a very good Butler team from Louisville in the first round of the girls sweet 16.

Happy for George.

Well first of all BOKC did try to do the pregame up right but honestly I was kind of frightened. 40 foot flames that were very hot and indoor fireworks....umm I don't know about that.

As for the game....ND in control but never with a big lead. I think 6 was the largest. Kind of got away from their offense trying to milk the clock. Had the ball for last shot in both regulation and OT and turned it over both times.

NCC almost won it in regulation with the ball out of bounds under their basket with 1.5 seconds left. Everyone was looking for Kiernan or one of the 3 point wing shooters a backdoor cut for a layup was wide open but the pass was fumbled out of bounds.

In OT ND scored first and then NCC tied it. ND held for last shot and threw that away. NCC held until 9 seconds were left. Drove the lane for the layup that danced around the rim and fell thru and the orange light came on.

Actually, this was the huge block by Nikki Kiernan.

Congrats to the Breds on a hard fought victory.......did not give up and turned up the "heat" when they needed to. Ware was not going to be denied on that final drive, attacked with confidence.

Kiernan with a huge block on the possession prior....WOW!!!

Paige Kellam was on a mission, one hell of a performance. :notworthy:

Both teams hurt themselves with many point blank misses, but they both left it all on the floor.

This game had the makings of the earlier NewCath/ND "fiasco", but this one turned in to a DANDY!!!!!

What kind of crowd did they get for the championship game?
