Congrats on the GC win! Maybe next time Steiner will re-think sending his assistant coaches out to scout during a district game. Hopefully for his sake....his coaches were scouting a team that Won their district since SK is going to be playing a district winner. Karma bits! :lol2:

Final final from WV. Interesting game to watch. WV lead the entire game, up by 22 I believe at one point in the 3rd. GC cuts the lead to 8 and made things very interesting early in the 4th. Congrats to Coach Clink and the rest of the coaching staff.

Extremely proud of the Bearcats after last nights game. It's been a tough your both Coach Brannen and the boys. Although they have not had the success that they were hoping for this year they have continued to battle each game and have represented themselves well. This was a great basketball game to watch! Both teams hit big shots throughout the entire game. WV lead for 99% of the game - GC took the lead with under a minute to go in regulation and then WV hit a 3 at the buzzer to send the game into OT. The OT session went back and forth as well. GC had the ball up one with under 30 seconds and WV made a huge steal and converted the layup to take a one point lead. A young man from GC then hit two big free throws with 5.8 seconds left in OT to take the lead back by one. WV missed about a 25 footer at the buzzer for the win. Not a fan of losing by no stretch but this was a good high school basketball game to watch. To the young men at WV - keep your heads up. Congrats to GC on the win.

I'm not sure that knowing the fouls were 8-5 in the first half makes it any better since that makes it 24-11 fouls in the second half.

I agree 100%. Considering they had three players foul out made it that much more impressive that they were able to hang in there and have a chance in OT. Keep battling...it will pay off.

Grant County starters against Walton were 8th, Fresh, Soph, Jr, Sr. Also know that starting PG is our with injury and she is a Fresh as well. Not sure who she replaces in the starting lineup.

#21 is Haleigh Ison for Walton. She is a Soph. Nice player! Both teams played hard. The traveling calls went both ways!

The referring was bad both ways. Walton-Verona had a lot more to do with the way Boone played then the refs. I thought Boone had a pretty scrappy team as well.
