  1. Didn't your family member set out last year? Is he trying out this year?
  2. Somewhat of a weird game to watch. I never felt like WV was going to loose but they could never pull away from Lex Cath. I believe the biggest lead by WV was around 11 or 12. Lex Cath started the game with back to back 3's --- they shot a very high percentage from the 3 point line. I bet they made somewhere around 10 or 11 three's. Lex Cath had two small guards out front that had very quick releases. WV struggled with the zone in the first half which kind of bogged the game down. On a side note, I believe there were only 3 team fouls combined for entire first half. In the second half, Lex Cath was never in the bonus and WV finally got there near the end of the 4th quarter when Lex Cath was forced to foul to stop the clock. Despite the lack of foul calls it was actually a well officiated game, IMO. Good luck to WV at Highlands.
  3. Is Ben's father Art Racke?
  4. They are certainly not getting better. :irked:
  5. Walton could certainly use Zach and a few others that have left over that past several years. Glad to see that Zach is playing well. He's an excellent kid with a great basketball sense.
  6. If it was a Gray 8th grade boys parent......everyone could probably take one guess as to who that was.
  7. I'll cast my vote for Brad Carr!
  8. Grant Moeves from Walton for shooting guard. Has a sweet stroke when he is on! Bolden for best PG in NKY. Very nice player.
  9. It's pretty obvious you have no idea what you are talking about.
  10. Judy played, Clinkenbeard played less than half the game.
  11. Did the foul on Burns have any effect on the play? Were they throwing the ball inside when she called the hold? Don't call the 3rd foul if it has no effect on the play! If it had any bearing on the play.... foul is a foul!
  12. Congratulations to Owen County on their win. Also, congrats to Walton-Verona for an outstanding run over the past 3 years in the Class A tournament - three time 8th Region champion and a Class A State championship!!!! Great leadership from Coach Miller, Coach Clinkenbeard and Coach Sullivan!
  13. Walton needs to have Judy show up to play. If she gets in early foul trouble or just decides not to show up tonight Owen has a shot a knocking off the defending All A Champs! WV by 7 :thumb::thumb:
  14. Rebounding: Grant County 44 / Walton Verona 22. 15 Offensive boards for the Braves / 5 for the Bearcats.
  15. Trame has had a good record the last 3 years -- he did inherit some talented players. However, now you have lost a lot of talent over the last year or so due to people not wanting to play for Coach Trame. You have middle school/freshman teams that are a mess....and you have a head coach that takes no interest in what's going on at the middle school level. In my opinion, that's a recipe for disaster. Now, there are people who care about the entire program and want to see kids developed and taught the correct things...if thats what is called "disgruntled natives" then yes, I guess there are several.
  16. You're stating the obvious. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that if you take 5 talented players they will most often beat 5 untalented players. If you have talented players, yes - you certainly have a higher percentage chance of winning..whether you have good coaching or not.
  17. Do you honestly believe that?
  18. I would disagree. There are kids that get jerked in and out every few minutes but by the end of the night...end up playing several minutes. So no, that does not have anything to do with your "Little Johnny" comment.
  19. Congrats to Courtney. What a great accomplishment. 1000pts / 1000rbs.
