  1. You're not even close. It has nothing to do with playing time or "Little Johnny". I don't believe playing time was mentioned on any post of this thread...other than yours.
  2. The schedule is what it is but the schedule has nothing to do with the overall morale/attitude of the entire boys program. Yes, the lose of Helton certainly hurt but there are much greater issues going on within the boys program besides losing a player to injury.
  3. The natives have been restless.
  4. Congrats to Gallatin. I thought that Cooper was playing in the Williamstown Tournament but it did not matter because Grant would have beat them anyway..... Good win by a good Gallatin team. When you play them in All A or District you better hope they are not on the 3 ball!!!!
  5. Some results from this afternoon and evening... Dixie beat Brossart Ryle beat Walton-Verona
  6. That is no good. Good luck to Courtney on a speedy recovery. Hopefully she can be back for the District tournament. I would assume that there would be no way possible for her to be ready for the All A. If Judy can get back on the court and Clinkenbeard returning in a couple of weeks i would still say that they have a shot at the 8th All A.
  7. We can only wish Courtney a speedy recovery. Hopefully it will not keep re sidelined for very long.

  9. I believe they are supposed to be back sometime in early January.
  10. Sophomore guard Grant Moeves set a career high with 27 points in the Bearcats’ win. Moeves scored 10 points in the first quarter and had 16 by halftime, including all three of his 3-pointers. Senior guard Chad Lucas helped seal it by hitting 11-of-14 free throws in the second half. 11. Walton-Verona 65 Henry Co. 52 #300 for Coach Dan Trame. Grant Moeves leads all scorers with 27. Nice game by Grant. :thumb:
  12. She has to bring it every night for all four quarter for Grant County to be successful. Last night the best bigs on the floor were Judy and Sandlin.
  13. She is a nice player that is developing very well. The younger girls played very well last night with Ison and Mills giving quality minutes. Mills showed that she can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim instead of just standing and shooting. The Walton pipeline in full of potential all the way down to the 4th grade level with girls in every grade that are above average. This starts with a good feeder program and that thanks goes to Dan Sullivan.

  15. Talking with a friend of mine on Sunday after the AC / WV game and he said that we should get our kids and personal trainer instead of a basketball trainer because the strongest kid wins. :thumb:
  16. Walton Verona 6th grade boys beat Highlands in first round of Dayton Tournament. Not sure of the score but heard it was by around 13 or so. Heard that WV was up by as many as 20 at one point.
  17. Are they not supposed to blow the whistle when there is an infraction??? That's the problem - the whole "letting them play mentality" has created a game that resembles something closer to rugby. Old School referenced the Clay County teams from the 80's. I would venture to guess that in today's game, those Clay County teams would have gotten destroyed by those same Ballard teams that they competed with in the late 80's. Those Clay County teams where very skilled however not extremely physical, in today's game Ballard would be allowed to basically manhandle them.
  18. The Walton-Verona/Anderson County game tonight was absolutely brutal. The entire night was a wrestling match.

  20. Congrats to the Lady Cats! Nice win!
  21. And Dave Moeves does an excellent job!
