About what I expected.

Yes and was a non factor. His shot was short all night. Sampson had 29.

Sampson is filling it up.

When do Bearcat fans start calling for Trame's head? I know they have lost a couple players from the program and the big Moser kid didnt come back out. Are the natives restless yet?

Congrats to SK for the beatdown.

The natives have been restless.
The natives have been restless.

Really?

WV scheduled a crazy schedule for them, but i'm sure it was made with the thought that they would have some different personel. Lose a 1,000 pt scorer/all region player(McNeil), then a broken wrist to your biggest inside weapon(Helton) and things will look bad.

Put WV in the Grant co. schedule and the "natives" probably wouldn't be restless. Trame does a good job.

Natives have been restless for 4 years. Talented kids don't want to be jerked in & out of games every 2 minutes & have every pass, cut, shot on each possession dictated from sideline. Burns, mcneil, & mccubbin left for greener pastures because of this.

What could of been..with hargett, juniors this yr Burns, Mcneil, T. Moeves, Helton, Mccubbin....loaded sophomore class. This was the group that should be dominating All A region, competitive for "A" state & big boy district & region titles for about a 4 year run. Instead has fallen apart like "a soup sandwich".

Could of been enjoying same success as girls program when reigns were handed to former "AAU" coaches who use a system to match talent & doesn't try to change talent to match system.

NKY Player of the Year, perhaps?

Bet you could convince the girls staff to switch to boys after this season....:D

I've watched plenty of WV games. The "natives" in Walton are always going to be restless. They love their basketball. Probably will take in the game tonight vs.Grant co.

Trame is a fine coach and great guy. Just because he gets on "Little Johnny" or "Little Johnny" doesn't get the minutes that his parents think he should, they decide to leave. Must not be too terribly bad or Moeves would have also left. The WV natives are always restless and pointing at Coach Trame is the easy way out.

The schedule is what it is but the schedule has nothing to do with the overall morale/attitude of the entire boys program. Yes, the lose of Helton certainly hurt but there are much greater issues going on within the boys program besides losing a player to injury.

Don't get me wrong, nothing personal against coach Trame, one of most top notch, class act gentlemen you will ever meet. But it just seems he has an old style Bobby Knight like system & attitude. Blames alot of his troubles on AAU coaches. Talented players play timid & indecisive because he tries to control every move on the floor. He never stops yelling on sideline....cut, pass, dribble, shot, pick...if you miss one of these instructions your out.

In basketball a kids confidence, aggressiveness & natural instincts are atleast 75% of game....you have a highly talented kid looking over his shoulder, playing timid & indecisive you have made him very average. Players can only get better when allowed to make plays, play with instincts & confidence.

Hard to watch talented players leave the program while coach is unwilling to change his system to match this talent. Instead we get to watch coaching staff give standing ovations to role players diving on balls or taking charges when WV is down 30.

Don't think i would call Burns or Mcneil "little Johny" & I know they didn't leave because of playing time. Both playing on teams with a shot at playing in Rupp.
