Trame is a fine coach and great guy. Just because he gets on "Little Johnny" or "Little Johnny" doesn't get the minutes that his parents think he should, they decide to leave. Must not be too terribly bad or Moeves would have also left. The WV natives are always restless and pointing at Coach Trame is the easy way out.
You're not even close. It has nothing to do with playing time or "Little Johnny". I don't believe playing time was mentioned on any post of this thread...other than yours.

The schedule is what it is but the schedule has nothing to do with the overall morale/attitude of the entire boys program. Yes, the lose of Helton certainly hurt but there are much greater issues going on within the boys program besides losing a player to injury.

I have no idea on the overall morale/attitude of the program, and I'm sure you have a close grasp on the inner workings.

I hope for nothing but the best for the team.

Bet you could convince the girls staff to switch to boys after this season....:D

Please elaborate.

The problem is that Walton parents are selfish, temperamental, and relatively educated. Good people struggle to fit in. The natives wanted the best players form the area, but if you put them all on the same team then they will get rotated in and out quickly in order to utilize all pieces. Corey miller is one of the best coaches and good people I've ever met and they made his life terrible. I'm surprised that Trame has hung around.

I assume you are not a Walton parent, since you would be insulting yourself. :D

It is naive and silly to think that Walton has a monopoly on selfish and temperamental parents. In my experience they are at every school.

This is so dumb it's funny.

Khalid....your post is most uneducated I have seen in this thread. Coach Miller & Trame are high quality people & I personally have never heard a WV parent say different about them personally. If I was looking for teacher of life for my kids both would be very high on that list.

Ironically both coach the same over coaching, non-adjusting system of basketball. Just look at results of WV girls program with a completely different style of play utilized by staff after coach Miller left.

Both quality men but if I'm searching for a basketball coach neither make my list.

With Helton back WV has talent to win 8th region A tournament. Hopefully the tough schedule WV has played has given bearcats experience to make a run.

I guess they get used to high expectations only to be let down once again!:clap:

Read post #8. Being jerked in and out every 2 minutes does relate to playing time.

I know that this is the boys thread but since you brought up the girls program, I believe that Corey had quite a bit of sucess with the program. Didn't his team win Walton's first ever regional title in his last year of coaching? Yes! So his coaching style must have worked. His predicesors were blessed with a very talented group, especially last year, which made it easy to win. This year has been a little more difficult and with Sandlin out, it will be interesting to see how the coaches adjust. Bottom line, if you have the talent, you will win.

I would disagree. There are kids that get jerked in and out every few minutes but by the end of the night...end up playing several minutes. So no, that does not have anything to do with your "Little Johnny" comment.

Do you honestly believe that?

I don't know what your missing. Old School said it, "talented kids don't want to be jerked in and out every two minutes". If that's not playing time, what is it?

Do you honestly believe that?

Don't you? It's crazy to think any thing else. You give me 5 talented players playing against your 5 untalented players and I will beat you every time. We've all seen games where coaching had nothing to do with the outcome of the game just because one team was more talented than the other. How many championships are won with teams that have no talent?
