Well, they didn't actually let them stall. They were trapping, but didn't foul even though the coaches kept imploring them to foul.

Great game between two good teams.

 

First off, I have to give credit to the Gallatin girls, coaches and parents. They suffered a tough loss, but handled it with class. Coach Roberts personally went to each WV player and congratulate them and wished them luck. First time I have talked to the Dosset girls was after the game, and I can't say enough about how polite, and classy they were. They also wished WV the best. Autumn Bowen, came over to the Walton folks that she knows and sat with them even though she was upset. That took guts and I commend her for it. She is a great young lady. Sure Ill root for Walton, but I hate having to see Gallatin lose. Their are some folks their that I care about.

 

As far as the game, honestly it could have went both ways. This game was called tight and yes, that hurt Gallatin more than it did Walton. The dossets got in early foul trouble and that certainly made a difference. Even late, when they had their fourth, it was hard for them to play good defense for fear of fouling out.

 

It is worth saying Brook Dosset could not be stopped in the second half. I don't know what she finished with but she scored at will on Walton's defense.

 

For Walton, it was a great team effort with at least four players in double digits. Congrats to Coach Clink and the Bearcats.

Congrats to the Bearcats and the coaching staff! This was a very good win for WV versus an excellent team.

This was a tough spot for Gallatin to be in. There were Gallatin players on the court that had four fouls that I am sure they didn't want to see foul out because they needs to be on the court offensively. Not anyone could just foul and it is Hard to get a specific player you want to foul to commit a foul, yelling from across the other end of the floor while the players are hustling trying to trap and cause a turnover. Like I said, and to the Gallatin coaches defense, it was a tough spot for Gallatin to be in.

Congrats to Coach Clink and the Bearcats, good luck in the All A final tomorrow.

It was evident that the Gallatin County coaches were trying to get their girls to foul. As Mack said, sometimes kids are just...kids.
