I like this list. Its realistic, at least to start the season. Cambell WILL be tough next year. Love their coach. Clark is loaded, Mason may be rebuilding some, but they will be tough.

Who is on schedule in '08? This team played a brutal '07 schedule, or at least I think they did. Most likely a Top 5 mountain team possibly higher.

Heard Darnell was making a move to tackle. Wherever he plays he will be tough. He had a real good junior year, should be the team leader. Who are the potential captains next year?

From what I hear, neither are participating in spring football.

The high school game has increased in its pace and physical play since 2003. I know its a short period of time, but the high school has gotten more physical. I think 2008 would be very competitve.

I agree with you. Mason did all they needed to do to win. However, they nearly died by three point shot. Why did you bring a specific player into this. I did not do that. That is highly unfair to the player....I was talking only about strategy. I also have seen Mason when they were hot from the 3 line as well. Strategy was my discussion point ...not players.

Lexington and Rupp - first class showing Stock down: UHA big man struggles - played average at the big show Mason Co 3 pt. shooting - went cold all day/night on Saturday Tournament scheduling - while I hate a Sunday final.....the game has simply gotten too physically demanding to be fair to both teams. For instance, Holmes was spent in the final. They burned it all coming back against Lex Cath.

Good summation. I agree with this. Setty came close to putting himself and his team in a bad situation.

The games faster all the time. Many of the refs don't get a chance to see this style of play all year. I think an official from 6-11th regions will have better game experience than officials in the 13-16th regions, simply because they don't see this style of play. They take officials from each region each year. The games are never distributed evenly. The 13-16th regions end up getting 2 games max and rarely getting a final game. So, should the current system be revisited?

$500 MAX - about 1/2 is the grade work and other setup and 1/2 is the turf. Johnson Central's is very nice.

MC won the 5A class and finished 6th overall. 36 teams competed overall. Joe Stanfield and Tyler Hussey finished 2nd and 3rd in the heavy weight division and Cody Groves placed 4th in his weight class, I think... Joe's deadlift was 670lbs.

Seems somewhat unfair doesn't it? It would be great to wait till the tournaments are over and then everyone can enjoy all the sports. The programs that have it really tough are the ones they don't make the regional tournaments. They have to start while basketball is still very much on everyones mind and when the weather is likely to be uncooperative. I would assume KY adopted the same logic in place by other states in establising their by laws.

I thought the entire first quarter the shot selection by everyone was pretty good. In second quarter, MC got down and they threw up a couple of bad shots. I know one of our guards tossed a 3 from the corner and it went 4 feet beyond the goal. MC was a little hyped at that point in the game.
