My point is.....they did not fire the coach to get someone to run a specific type of offense. There isn't 1 high school in KY that has mandated a type of offense or defense to their coach. You can't make me believe ER is bent on running the Franklin system. Read the thread.

An earlier post made it sound as if they fired their coach to get someone to run the Franklin system. I can't imagine ER firing a coach to run a specific system (this isnt'the NFL) and I can't see how they see a specific system as being the problem.

Always good to get a win, but the Indians looked rusty last night. Rowan hung around till the 3rd quarter and MC took over the 2nd half.

Franklin System won't work without speedy athletes. Hard for me to believe ER has speed to run the system.

You should go ahead and drive up and point these things out just to make it easy on everyone.

A ref doesn't want to have to do this, it is an absolute last resort. And, if you have been tossed more than once in your lifetime...learn to relax a little and enjoy the game a little more.

This particular comment above has a disturbing tone. I don't think its reasonable for people to be talking about needing additional security and "there is going to be trouble". Seriously, if you can't get in to see a high school BB game there is going to be trouble? Given what went on last year at VT and last week at NIU, do we really need to be acting like this? The students deserve a great environment, not this kind of stuff. And don't say a great environment can only happen at Mason.

A team with some size and good defense will beat Elliot 9 out of 10 times.

Here is how coaches help players get scholarships. First they must coach at a high level. Then they can send tape, etc to colleges the player may be interested in or those that have inquired. I do not believe a coach can get someone a scholarship. NO matter how hard they try. Also, its the Jr. year, not the Sr. year. You must have a great Jr. year.

Looks like Lincoln has it going on. Does this team have good chemistry? I bet they play good defense. Coach J has always stressed good d.

"Played" at UK?

Overall the 13th. Lincoln is probably the best team and the best coached of both regions. However, I don't think anyone in the 12th-16th region can take it all and the only way they win a first round game is to play each other. Otherwise, its one and done.

If Montgomery does what it needs at the baseball field and were to combine the football and soccer field on the current football field with the new fieldturf product and moved the track around the current soccer field and kept the current soccer field for soccer practice...I can't think of another need. I do think baseball and softball needs more batting cage areas. I hope we are getting it done in the classroom.

The field is very nice. I think this year (year 2) will make all the difference. It is very nice and the coaches and parents work very hard on the field. In basketball you dust the floor(after you establish the facilities)....in football and baseball... the field work is endless and necessary. I don't think you intended to bash the new basketball facility, its great as well. Hopefully, the baseball teams get some nice bathrooms soon.

If I were the Lady Indians I would go play Friday and Saturday.

I agree. Same thing happened to some other schools. Some very nice applicants pulled out of a job due to a long delay. If a school likes a coach that has had success, the coach wants/needs to be shown the courtesy of a quick decision in their favor.
