I'm begining to feel sorry for Chris Bondick and the pressure he will be under when he returns.If Highlands can beat Boone without Simpson, why are the excuses that Bondick makes that much diffference?He is a good player but all of this convoluted logic would have him 100% on each night.

Congrats to Mullins and his Raiders on a tough and poorly officiated overtime win at St. Henry last night. Raiders have struggled but I predict good things if they can keep their moral up. Sophomores looking good but don't understand why the coach takes his starters out of the game so early,would like to see them work through their rough spots and pull it together. Maley has become a more mature player and is better focued than in previous years. #21 is a silent valuable asset to the team,they seem to play better when the coach leaves him in there. While not a showy player, his defense is very effective and he makes good players look even better,a great and rare asset for a team. Good Luck to a team who is working hard to find their way.

Maley is going for the Ryle team record for Technical Fouls. He has been a spoiled,pampered player for his entire Ryle career.You can count on him to retaliate if he is fouled, even by accident.I still have not heard that he has appologized to the team.All of his previous coaches at Ryle have been aware of this.As he is a senior I suppose they feel his play justifies his faults.

I have watched the Porter kid from Ryle for the past three years and believe he is the most versatile defender in northern Ky.He held Hill from Holmes to 3 pts. and defended Vories to 6 or 7.I have seen him stop guards and forwards and even postup a center or two.

Good to see Ryle drop some threes, but lets not get carried away with the youth movement.If my info. is correct Coleman was 2 for 20+ from 3 pt. range prior to Glen Este.Helmer had a bad night scoring but has been the most consistent scorer so far this year.The shophs. will get plenty of playing time this year,but will need to be as unselfish as the older guys to keep the chemistry they have had the last few games.

Ryle will not be much better than they are now unless the coach admitts his error in appointing Ahern team captain and starting point guard for life.Ahern is too small and struggles to bring the ball down the floor which slows the whole team down.He won't shoot even when they needed 3 points at the end of the Oldham game.Even if he penetrates,he is too small to dish the ball, thus Maley is not envolved . The other main problem is Russell.His poor performances are the result of not practicing all summer.I hear he skipps practice after losses and yet still starts. How does a player get as many rebounds-off.-and not get a putback as evidenced by 1 point of production.He absolutely has hands of stone. IMO-Play Mcliech and Nichols at those two positions, write the year off, and Ryle will be better off next year.

Ryle cant seem to close the deal.In the first two games, Ahearn and Porter couldnt score and Maley seemed to quit after 12 pts.The shophs. dont seem to play defense as intense as the rest.Russell killed them in the Oldham game.

Kenton cnty. allows AAU coaches to practice at their facilities during the week.They also host weekend games at their elem. and middle schools. Boone county on the otherhand will not make their gyms available on the weekends,using the excuse that Sunday is a day of rest.There have been attempts in the past to approach the school board,but to no success.

If Simpson shoots 30 times a game, Eaton will be the leading scorer with putbacks.I saw Simpson a few times this summer and he is at best inconsistant.
