The game was loaded with mistakes on both sides of the ball, Newport just did a better job on capitalizing on those mistakes. I agree with future coach...the coach Bellevue has now is what Bellevue needed. He has the numbers back up that dropped drastically last year and so far has managed to do the little things right that the last coach didn't do.

Walton will win this one fairly easy. They are just simply a better team at this point. Looks like the Dayton woes will last for at least one more week. Walton 27 Dayton 12

Why is this a bad game for Dayton to schedule? It is a local school and if the coaching staff is getting the ship headed in the right direction, they should want to play games like this one and not just schedule bracken or pendleton co every week. However, I got to see some of the Dayton....and I would disagree with your comments about getting the ship righted. I think Dayton is better off than where they were with Deaton. I know the kids love Coach Montgomery up there, but I am not sure yet if he is the answer. Until he can win more than 4 or 5 games in a season, I won't believe it.

I hear that Scott in Northern Kentucky has only 9 games too!!

I just don't see things turning around for Dayton anytime soon...In my honest opinion the Green Devils could give Ludlow's 0-33 streak a run for it's money. I didn't get a chance to see Lloyd play but heard it was pretty sloppy. I am sure the new coaching staff will get that corrected this week in practice. I agree with Qryche11, I think this is going to be squeaker, but I think a few more points will be scored in this one. Bellevue will win this one, the same way they have won over the past three or four years. The game will be very close the first half, then Bellevue's conditioning will take over and Newport will simply lose gas. Bellevue will have some late game scores like the did against Walton-Verona. Congrats to Bellevue. The physical play of Bellevue definitely dominated Walton's O and D lines. I expect that physical play to help Bellevue win more games than expected this year.

I had the opportunity to spend a month in Danville, while working on my blu-ray productions of the Big Lebowski. I had the opportunity to see a few practices and I'm going Danville in this one by at least 20.

Alright, Alright, Alright....Next to league bowling season, this is my favorite time of the year. I am finally glad to be back, with so many Lebowski-fests now (I have to make those guest appearances, man) and working diligently on getting "The Big Lebowski" on on blu-ray, I am been a busy man. Those times are over, I have been to Ralph's, I have my half-and-half and I'm ready for some football. I am going to with my gut here and pick Bellevue to win this game (even though Walter disagrees and Donnie is out of his element on this one). I am hearing good things around town about the new coach and I think Bellevue's physical play will overtake a very good Walton team. I understand that Brossart coaches wanted to try and schedule some opponents for potential wins, but come on! This schedule couldn't get any easier. I don't want to take anything away from the players at Brossart, because they do play hard every game, but this does nothing to prepare them for district play, where they will get stomped on again Brossart 26 Jenkins 12

I think Bellevue will have a solid game plan against the Eagles. Buckler will get back on his scoring track and I think the passing game will get better this week for the Tigers Bellevue 33 Scott 13

From what I heard from others is that Holmes played well, but I wouldn't say dominated. Bellevue had the ball in the red zone about 6 times and couldn't captialize. The Tigers had too many mistakes (turnovers, penalties, etc.). There are no excuses coming out of the Tigers. I look forward to finally getting to see Bellevue play this year, next week against the Scott War Eagles!! I am sure the coaching staff will get the mistakes corrected and minimalized and dominate the Eagles

It was a little closer than I thought...but the important thing here is my prediction was right!! Carroll won and Ludlow couldn't handle them.

I was in attendance at this game and if it wasn't for Conner Lewis and Dayton's #70, Dayton would not win a game this year!
