  1. I think this is a definite regardless of the outcome of the Ryle game. Maybe there is a chance he will stay if Boone Co. can run the table and win a state championship, but I just don't see that happening. I just think too many things have gone wrong in this program (mainly internal issues) to justify his staying with the program. Does anyone out there have any ideas of any potential candidates (internal or external) to replace Thompson, if he indeed doesn't return?
  2. Even though the outcome of this game seems inevitable. I am going to keep my fingers crossed for the extremely small percentage of chance that Ludlow pulls out this one out. I know, that this is very unlikely. But as a Bellevue fan, I am hoping Ludlow wins and the regional final game is Bellevue v. Ludlow.
  3. According to my source, this is the 2nd ever meeting between these two teams. The first meeting coming a few years ago, with Bellevue being victorious. I can't remember the score. This could be a very good game again this year. It's a long ride in the cheese wagons for the Tigers, but if they show up and play solid fotoball like they did this past week against Bracken, I think the Tigers can get by Frankfort. BHS 22 FHS 18
  4. I know a lot of schools will not honor passes for playoff games, mainly because of the 50/50 split between the schools. By not honoring passes it ensures that the gate receipts will be as high as they can get them.
  5. Red Rover, Red Rover....we dare #73 to come over!!
  6. $9 and $10 is awfully high for playoff games. I can understand the prices for the state championship game, but not for playoff games. I know in Northern Kentucky, when I was coaching, we charged $6 for adults and $4 for students. There was a 50/50 split for the two teams involved.
  7. This would definitely be a blow to Bellevue. I saw Hatter kick off at the Bellevue/Dayton game and was impressed with the height and distances of the kicks. Hopefully, Mr. Hatter will have a full and speedy recovery.
  8. I'm not much of a soul listener, but for me it's hands down to my man Otis!!
  9. I am goign to take LSU in this one. Even though I would like to see Oklahoma St play in the National Championship game, the real championship game will be played this Saturday! I am looking for Coach Miles to throw in some kind of trickery in LSU's first offensive series.
  10. Even though I think Trinity's JV and Frosh squad will get significant playing time in this game, I wish this game was being played at SK, so I could get the chance to watch this historic football team play. This game will be like getting a shot at the dr's office. Just close your eyes and it will all be over before you know it!! Trinity 67 SK 0
  11. That was a vicious hit...definitely could have caused some serious injuries. That is why I have always respected guys that return punts.
  12. introducing Beechwood's new position coach......"Ivan Drago"!!!
  13. I still think they should have gone after Temple and Memphis, instead of Marshall and UCF. I would have even been ok with an invite going to Villanova.
  14. Unfortunately, this is a problem that has a large impact on the teams of small schools. I know it happens everywhere, but when you only have 40 players to begin with, it takes a real toll. I just think Dayton is going to struggle for quite some time in football and it has nothing to do with Montgomery. I know that their youth program is struggling to the point where I have heard it may not be in existence too much longer. Plus, having bad seasons over the last couple or three years, it's hard to recruit kids for the team. I just think, Montgomery needs to find some quality parents that would be willing to take over the youth program and he will literally have to start building from the ground up.
  15. I hope Carroll County comes out and can dominate again up front and this time pull off the victory.
  16. So what happens if we go back to the top two teams making the playoffs and there are blowouts. Then, do we go to just the #1 team making it. I remember in my high school days we were the #4 seed from Northern Kentucky and had to play Raceland the #1 seed and we beat them. So, I don't mind the current playoff set-up.
  17. What is the competition....who can get to the transfers office first?
  18. In high school I was working for a landscaping company up in the Blue Ash/Sharonville area of Cincinnati. It was one of those days when the temperature was well over 100 and I could stand the heat anymore. So, I jumped into the pool of the house we were working (figuring that the homeowners were at work), well the wife had called in sick. Jumping in I had stripped down to my boxers to jump in. When I came up my boxers had misplaced themselves. The sound of the splash caused the wife to come to the patio door, she noticed I wasn't wearing anything at the moment and called my boss to complaint that I was "skinny dipping" on the job. Because I hated the job, when the boss confronting me and I told him I wasn't "skinny dipping", I was "chunky dunking". He didn't find it funny and fired me on the spot.
  19. I'm pretty sure the cop and the fan are from Mayfield and are planning on kidnapping him until the 2nd weekend in December.
  20. Despite, having probably the worst record ever for a #1 seed (I don't think the record is a good reflection of this team), I am going with the Camels in this one. Good luck Camels and Coach Lickert.
  21. Watch out buddy....ABC2 is gonna come after you for this one. He'll probably blame it on the A.D. and administration there too.
  22. Hey Coach...Do these vertical stripes make me looker thinner??
  23. Home City Ice...I had to deliver to the Over the Rhine section of Cincinnati.
