Beechwood/Bellevue Predictions

I think this is going to be a game of polar opposites; one being very skilled and experienced with the other being not nearly as skilled and rebuilding. It would be nice to see Bellevue do something, but I think Beechwood has entirely too much. I think the majority of Beechwood's first team, if not all of it is out after halftime, if not sooner.

Bellevue needs to keep the ball out of Beechwood's hands if they want to stay close. I expect the Beechies to hand it to em though. This is Beechwood's year with that Sr. Class. I think Bellevue has some size on their line and a decent running game. I hope the black and gold can give em a good game.

They don't have the luxuries that Beechwood and Highlands has as far as attracting talent and I'll leave it at that but they have good people with strong community ties who will support their team and believe in their team.

 

Tell ya what you guys keep working on a plan to beat Mayfield and then you can act like your the greatest.

No one from BW has claimed they are the greatest? :confused: This game won't even be close, every game does not deserve to have a predictions thread and a poll. It wasn't even a Bellevue fan who created this poll.

Whats the big deal with the poll? They had one for Highlands vs Harrison Co.

You don't have to "hope" they have the pride I can assure you they do.

 

Nobody for Hihlands claims they are the greatest either but if you read enough threads on em you will start believing it.

 

I have always said positive things on here about Beechwood and their strong teams and I'm a Bellevue Alum who competed against them. I chose to move to Ft Thomas and my kids to Highlands, primarily because of academics but I still bleed black and Gold and growing up their made me who I am today.

Unfortunately, for the fellow true Class A schools, Bellevue has no chance! This is a thought I would like to purpose: All of Beechwood's sports programs are moving up in Class, except the Mighty, Mighty Football team. Every sport, every one except the Footballl team. I mean it is a tough choice I guess. Do they continue to dominate the local scene and not get challenged or do they move up and always finish 2nd to NCC. There might be a one time every five years that they might beat NCC. Just want some thoughts or opinions. Would honestly like to hear from the Beechwood people.

You are relatively new to the site so you probably haven't seen the many discussions on this topic and aren't aware that neither Beechwood nor any other team has control over what class they play in. The KHSAA controls that. Beechwood would love to play up in 2A but they aren't allowed to by the KHSAA. The class you play in is based on the number of boys in the school and Beechwood is 1A. There is an exception allowed if there are no other teams near you in your class. That is how Highlands and Cov Cath were allowed to play up prior to this year. There weren't any 3A schools in N. Ky. and there weren't any other 4A schools in N. Ky. so HHS and CCH were allowed to play up to 5A to make a local district. However, look what class those two are playing in this year with the new redistricting. Why would Highlands move DOWN in class from 5A to 4A into a district with Pendleton County? Because they didn't have any choice. The KHSAA says Beechwood is 1A so that is where they play.

 

As to playing versus NCC, there have been and continue to be great games every year versus NCC. And Beechwood has done just fine in those battles. In fact, Beechwood beat NCC last year if you recall. They will play again this year in a few weeks and it should be a great game, as it always is. The strange thing about that game as I have mentioned on here before, is that more often than not in recent years, the team that loses the regular season battle has been the one that wins a state championship. BW beat NCC in 2010, 2006, 2005 and NCC won titles in those years. NCC beat BW in 2008 and 2007 and BW won titles those years. Since 2000, Beechwood has won 9 and NCC has won 8. It is a great series and rivalry which Beechwood would enjoy playing every year for all the marbles.

Some people refuse to see facts! I guess some want to find excuses? It's not even that the KHSAA won't allow a move, but if people would take time to look at enrollments, the "true class A" statement is a joke!

BW could only move up if they asked the KHSAA and another school in In 2a asked to moved down that was farely close to 1a enrollment and even thats a stretch. If I was Bellevue I would play hard but try and stay healthy as district play is starting and have a shot at the two seed.

If KHSAA ever goes to 7 classes Beechwood (and Mayfield) would be in 2A. Maybe that is what the "True Class A" Schools should ask for. :thumb:
