As for small schools...It's gotta be the Bellevue/Dayton rivalry. It's the oldest rivalry in Nky and one of the oldest in the state.

I mean really...The final was 35-0, not 70+ to 0. It just boils down to Dayton not being a very good team. I have no problem with the onside kick. It was Newport's way to ensure their victory. It is ridiculous that when people lose they say the other coach is classless etc. You mean to tell me, that Coach Montgomery wouldn't run a trick play up 21-0 against Bellevue. If he did the same people complaining about the onside kick now, would be talking about how brillant it would be if he did that against Bellevue. That's the problem with athletes today...they need to grow some thicker skin and realize that the object of the game is to win no matter what (obviously within the rules). So just get over it!! Good job by Newport and Coach Rice. Like I have said before, Dayton just isn't a very good team right now and will win one more game at best this year.

I just like to be honest. That's it, it's nothing personal against the kids from Ludlow or Bethlehem. I was just telling the casual fan if you are looking for a game to go to this Friday, I would pick another game in Northern Kentucky.

From my understanding both teams are struggling this year, so unless you are a die hard fan or alum of either school, I'd save your $$ and just wait for updated on BGP. But, being from Northern Kentucky, I'll take Ludlow to win this game Ludlow 18 Bethlem 12

With the injury to Travis Elliot, I am going to have to pick DeSales on this one. Even though, I'd like to see Ryle pull off this victory.

Just curious how an 0-for-the season Campbell Co team gets 3 votes. I'm sure there are other teams out there that would deserve these votes.

It will be a couple of seasons before Dayton gets back to .500 or better.

Definitely an exciting game from what I heard. Not a whole lot of fundamental tackling going on in this game on both sides of the ball. Bellevue's QB made a few quality throws and his receivers made some even better catches when it counted. I wish I could have had a chance to see such a sloppy but exciting game nonetheless. Tigers now have to prepare for a quality Carroll Co. team.

Brossart and their coaching staff must be kicking themselves this morning for losing this game. Congrats to Dayton on snapping their losing streak,....however I wouldn't get use to it, there maybe only 1 more victory left this season.

I would agree with these rankings. The only one I would possibly question is Kentucky Country Day. I just haven't seen them play in awhile and do not know much about the team. But, being from Northern Kentucky, I think Mayfield shoudl stay #1 until Beechwood knocks them off. This could be the year for that to happen!!

It's been a busy year or so. I've been making appearances at Lebowskifest's and working on getting the Big Lebowski out on Blu-ray can really wear a man out. Let's just say, I've gone through a lot of half and half. It's good to still see you on here, Grizzly, but what happened to the Duke logo on your profile? I am planning on making an appearance at the Hall of Fame game. There are a lot of very deserving Bellevue athletes being inducted this year. Hope to see you there!!

I just heard from my friends in Bellevue, this is Bellevue's annual Hall of Fame game. I think Bellevue will come out on top of this game and will play a really good game overall Bellevue 34 Henry Co. 12

I am biased toward Bellevue's Stadium. It is one of the oldest around in Northern Kentucky. It has seen it's fair share of great football games, track meets (all the Bellevue Invitationals), and was even the host to the state track meet and state tennis tournaments a few times. It has some of the nicest tennis courts around (6 quality ones). Even though it is not as fancy as Highlands, Dixie, Beechwood's. It still has it's flair and historical value.

Maybe it was lack of support from the AD or the administration that cause those kids not to cover the kick offs.

From what i know about last year's head coach at Bellevue is that he is a good guy and a good coach. From what I had seen and heard, he was just overwhelmed in his first head coaching job. I do think that he will get a chance to be the head man again and he should be given that chance, especially, now that he has a year under his belt and knows all the little things to expect.
