Comparatively Bellevue wins just about as much as Jimmie Johnson...while Dayton wins about as often as Earnhardt Jr.

This could be a very good game. Lloyd seems to be a pretty good team this year and Bellevue is also pretty good. A lot of different factors in this game, it's the week before the playoffs for both schools, Lloyd Senior Night, Coach Shearer (former BHS head coach) is coaching at Lloyd, and Bellevue's tendency to cause turnovers. Who will Owen play in the first round of the playoffs?

I think he'd have a better shot of going back up to Dayton

Maybe that grant money can buy the district a few bags of sakrete concrete to fix that stadium up a little bit and at least make it presentable.

You always hate to hear of an injury, especially if it is a season ending one. If it is definitely broken, I am sure he will be out the rest of this season. I have seen Beechwood play, but I wonder how much this injury will effect the outcome of their playoff game with Mayfield (that is if they get that far, which IMO they will.)

Sounds like Nick Rice may need to leave Newport and go back to Dayton to rescuing the sinking ship otherwise known as their football program.

From what I have heard over the past couple of years on the streets in Bellevue is that Wayne Starnes has either 1-2 years left as Superintendent of Bellevue. Mr. Ridder (the assistant Superintendent) will likely be the replacement for Starnes. However, I know that there is an opportunity for Ridder to be the Superintendent in Dayton too. So, it will be a difficult decision for him to make if both of these rumors are true.

This wasn't the best game in the 132 played between Bellevue and Dayton. However, it was a hard fought game despite the fumbles and penalties. It was good to see Dill kick a 27 yard field goal. She has gotten much better over the years. From reading some of these posts, sounds like some of the Dayton faithful maybe turning against Montgomery.

I just heard the word on the street is that Coach Montgomery and the Dayton Players have taken a school bus up to Zanesville OH, to get one of the dead tigers to parade around town tonight and at the game!

Jeff James was an awesome guy.....I used to love hearing him sing "Love Me Tender" in the locker after a Bellevue Victory.

I am sure that Vocke had 120 yards, but how much of the game did he play? It's not like he was held to 120 while playing all four quarters.

I think it depends on the person in the position(s). There have been many that have excelled at both and plenty that have failed at both. One pro about it is, that at least the conversation about firing the Head Coach is a very short and sweet conversation.

Just based off the reported scores on KHSAA's website. Dayton is giving up an average of almost 38 points/game, while only scoring an average of almost 11 points/game. Which includes being shut out 3 times. I am going with the statistics here. I do not think Dayton will be shut out against Bellevue. However, I still think Bellevue scores over 30 and that Dayton will barely break double digits. Without the actual stat book in my possession, it seems to me like Dayton didn't do such a hot job with Beechwood's running game (Bellevue didn't either), especially when Beechwood scored 63 on both teams.

Is the Pelgen kid out for the year? I have seen him play and he could develop into a great player for Brossart in years to come. However, I am going to take Walton in this one. I know that Brossart is struggling and Walton has been pretty solid all year. Walton 31 Brossart 8

I don't know this kid and haven't seen him play, but from reading these posts...the dude must be a stud. I'm going with a blind guess of 238 on 27 carries with 3 TD's.

As a Bellevue person, my favorite memories in these games was every year that Bellevue beat Dayton. Regardless of how good or bad the game was or who played it always a great feeling to beat Dayton, as I am sure it is a great feeling for Dayton to beat Bellevue.

In the '07 or '08 (can't remember). It was a major mud pit at Davis field. Bellevue had a good team that year and so did Dayton. It was a very close, hard-fought game by both sides. Towards the end of the 4th quarter, Bellevue throw a pass to Austin Kessen their WR. Austin was not a very big kid, but was able to make the catch, break a few tackles and score the go-ahead TD. It was a great game all around. Here's a shout out to my boy A-K!!

From my understanding it was Lickert that did away with it and Deaton kept it that way. Hopefully Montgomery will want to bring it back in a couple of years, after this schedule cycle is up.

If I'm not mistaken I think this rivalry is the most played in the state. I know that Male v. Manual is the oldest, but the Bellevue v. Dayton rivalry has played the most games, thanks to playing 2x's a year for many many years.
