How long is Beechwood's QB out?

Featured Replies

I understand Beechwood's stud QB Taylor Davis is out with broken collar bone.

How long will he be out?

Season if its a collar bone break.

If so that will be a very, very bad situation for the Beechies this late in the season.

Could very well be but I think they have the athletes and depth to re-tool the way they run the offense and still be very competitive.

When did this happen hate to here this. I think they still have the fire power to win it all.

Hate for this to happen, hope he is back in time for the playoffs, if Mayfield is fortunate enough to make it to the semi-finals, we want to beat the best or get beat by the best that Beechwood has, we have already lost 2 starters for the year and that really hurts any small school.

You're no fun G.

Sorry to hear about this; I hope everything is okay for the young man.

The bad thing about 1A ball is that most teams cannot overcome injuries to more than a few players players. QB's are especially bad. Maybe things will work out for him.

Hate to hear this happen.

I can assure the back up QB has plenty of play makers around him to make his job an easy adjustment.

I would not be surprised to see a good deal of "wildcat" formations if Davis cannot play. We saw a glimpse of it Friday when Max Nussbaum took the snap in the shotgun and launched a long pass to Cordosi for a TD.

I llike the wildcat formation, putting the ball in the hands of a playmaker can be very effective, however, this playmaker had better be able to throw effectively because running the ball only, or relying on it will make it very hard to win the state championship, not saying it cant be done, i remember one year i think it was against prestonburg, i think Mayfield completed 2 passes and won. That was many years ago, and offenses seem to have opened their games up alot more, at least Mayfields has, which enables them to strike quickly. I Know you have to play what is effective for your team, but I believe it will be very hard for a team that bases its offense on the run alone can win it all.

Someone told me it may not be broken. I think there is more evaluation to be done before they know the details.

It's hard to believe they can't tell whether it's broken or not. You can get back quicker I think with surgery. He's a very nice player I certainly hate to hear this.
