The latest is the collar bone is not broken and that at some point he will play again but it doesn't appear he will play this week against NCC.

TP, the MF arrogance preceeds you, as always. I said nearly the same thing yesterday when someone said "what if it's LHC and not MF" and I said "if if if we are blessed to make it to the championship without beating MF@MF it will still be exciting, but hollow". As I'm sure it is with your boys, I can absolutely promise you that these BW boys want nothing more than to compete against the #1 1A team in the state on their field.

Akin to Rome will have fallen and as it now stands the Cardinal Barbarians, if you will, are at the city walls with seige engines. A win this year will restore the now shakey empire for atleast 1 more year

I hear what you are saying about the Beechwood dynasty and there are probably some old timers who think that. But let's throw in some perspective.

 

Titles since 2007 - Beechwood 2 Mayfield 1

Titles since 2004 - Beechwood 3 Mayfield 1

Titles since 2000 - Beechwood 3 Mayfield 2

 

I have said it before, the titles dynasty ended in 1999. But Beechwood is doing just fine and in fact, it looks like Mayfield needs one this year just to get caught up with the Tigers.

NICE VOR! I'd also like to add that those years when BW was in the championship, there was no MF. They were TBagged by Frankfort who in turn was beaten soundly by BW. Snot, keep that ball gag in or else!

Ah....yes VOR you have said that before and you bring up valid points but some in your camp must be from the school of what have you done for me lately. Those must also be who think anything less than a title is the end of Rome. Rome didn't fall in a day. First things first, NCC looms large for you guys so I guess I'm lucky I am getting any play on this thread this week.

Like I have said many times before , BW would not have had as many titles as they do if MF and DV had not played "up". Some but not all. Sure BW has more titles but as long as MF gets it's share I'm all right with that.

I don't agree with some who say BW loses its luster if they don't win this years title because I believe these things go in spurts. After next year it will interesting to see how MF plays without Jackson and some of the others. We can all put different slants on the two programs and mix it up to any concoction.

Mayfield has had a really nice 2-3 year run of classes and next year should be very good, too. After that, I would expect them to fall back a bit. Will they still be competitive, yes. Will they still be a top 3-4 team yr in and year out in 1a, yes. Just likely to have a rebuilding year or 2 in there after next year. The Cardinals are a tremendous program with a great tradition, but, they've been blessed with some above the norm talented classes during this 3-4 year cycle..
